Senator Dim Bulb

When I first heard the stories coming out of New York about Hillary Clinton's appearance at a fund-raiser to benefit 9-11 victims, I promised myself I was not going to comment. At a time like this, one should resist making statements that tend to divide. Yet, the thought crossed my mind that people are finally getting wise to her.

New Yorker's voted her into office, so it's not my business to question their collective judgment. Still, one has to wonder if many a New Yorker isn't just a wee bit wistful about how it might have been, if only Rudy had been able to weather his health problems so that he could represent New York as an honest to goodness U.S. senator.

Still, many others would say that you must stand where God puts you, and Rudy certainly did. Who will ever forget his leadership following that horrible attack? Who could voice a critical or unkind remark about his job performance? Even George Pataki – who few knew outside of the Empire State – rose to national affection with his reasoned, gentle manner – reminding us that some rise to leadership for good reasons.

And then there is Hillary. Just prior to her "performance" Saturday, she was known as the urgently important person whose motorcade ran down a police officer. The officer was simply trying to enforce some security restrictions designed to protect us all. Would that be the reason why New Yorkers and a whole lot of firemen and policemen were angry with her?

Or could it be that Hillary, not so long ago, pronounced NYPD officers' accused of violating a suspect's civil rights, guilty before trial? Her approach to members of law enforcement, I guess, is to hang them and then give them a fair trial. Most citizens of this country know that you are innocent until proven guilty.

Are New Yorkers angry because Hillary was probably behind the premature release of Puerto Rican terrorists? Or, maybe it was that very public kiss and hug offered to the wife of an international terrorist that tipped them off? And, didn't the Clinton White House play host to Gerry Adams, a well-known and very dangerous IRA terrorist? Maybe New Yorkers think Hillary may not be the best person to appear at an event staged to support victims of terrorism?

Hillary's blind spot is not just politics. Here's a woman getting paid more than eight million dollars to recall what happened during her eight years in the White House. The real curiosity about that book deal is that, for nearly a decade, Hillary testified under oath that she could not recollect anything important at all. Now we are to believe that she will write an interesting, fact-filled tome about those very same years? How did she get her memory back?

It's amazing she could not recall firing more than two dozen long-time White House employees, which were little old ladies in the Correspondence Office. I suppose they were in the way of Hillary's ambition to staff the White House with unqualified, undignified political hacks. With Hillary's guiding hand, the White House turned into a circus sideshow, plagued with moral and ethical problems instead of keeping the standard as the premier federal working office.

When she was finished with those brilliant moves, she ordered the firing of the White House Travel Office staff. To cover her reasons – to "get those slots" for her freak parade (to be fair, who else would work for this woman?) – she had her staff accuse them of federal crimes and was quite willing to see innocent civil servants off to the federal pen for getting in Hillary's way.

Then, her long time friend – and some say intimate confidant – died of an inflicted gunshot wound (self?), whereupon Hillary's staff vacuumed his office clean of incriminating and embarrassing documents that were found later in the Clinton's personal residence. But Hillary again claimed she had no idea how they got there, even under oath.

Recall also that Hillary "carefully" selected our new attorney general, insisting that the post be given to a woman. She proceeded to then embarrass all of womankind by first choosing one who knowingly violated federal immigration laws, coupled with another who skirted close to the same "nannygate" problems, but fell short of confirmation when certain U.S. senators asked if they could review her alleged Playboy photo spread.

Finally, Hillary settled with "Janet, Janet from another planet" – who will be best remembered as a below-average prosecutor from Dade County, Florida – who was a fierce opponent of religious sects and willing to burn down villages to save the children. Hillary's Department Of Justice friend and soul mate was also the nemesis of patriotic Cuban Americans who dared to harbor terrified boy refugees. Reno's feds rushed their peaceful Little Havana neighborhood with rifles on full automatic, as well as a rifle butt "hello" for any news media brave enough to photograph Reno's Gestapo-like tactics.

Let me close by stating the obvious – that people who work for and around so-called powerful people have the ability to recognize the real thing from a phony. I don't know a law enforcement officer who respects Hillary Clinton. They resent her serial lies under oath, and understand how corrosive the "corrupted-powerful" can be to law and order. Is that why they hissed and booed Hillary?

No, their distaste goes far beyond that, and I'm not really sure one can actually put a finger on why Hillary is so disliked. Call it a cop's instincts, if you like. Actually, who cares? Hillary will soon be history … and good riddance to the nightmare from Park Ridge.

Cop's instinct eh Where was that instinct in 96 when the FOP was wholeheartedly supporting BILL and HILL after their first 4 years

To be fair, I don't think FBI agents are FOP members. But the real point is this: leadership of unions will endorse candidates (uh, democRAT candidates, exclusively) and they'll try to lobby their membership to vote that way. Occasionally, the rank & file goes the other way. When Dubya visited WV during his campaign, much was made of the mine workers who showed their support. When algore visited he was paraded to the podium -- arm-in-arm -- by two of the UMW brass thugs. Algore lost WV (it is rare when WV electoral votes are won by a republican president). The rank and file was rightfully concerned about algore's environmental policy vis a vis coal mining. And they weren't happy with the clintonista's wimpy approach to Asia's steel dumping.

Just because the union suits endorse someone doesn't necessarily mean the minions are gonna follow.

FEC drops Hillary Clinton campaign case

Associated Press

WASHINGTON -- The Federal Election Commission dismissed a fund-raising complaint against Hillary Rodham Clinton's Senate campaign, despite a finding by the agency's counsel that accounts established by the Democratic Party to benefit the campaign appeared illegal.

The six-member commission also dismissed similar complaints against the 2000 campaigns of Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., and then-Sen. John Ashcroft, R-Mo. FEC Acting General Counsel Lois Lerner also had found they appeared illegal.

The leaders of Common Cause and Democracy 21 blasted Wednesday's ruling as "a green light for any candidate to get around the law, and shake down corporations, labor unions and wealthy people for unlimited contributions."

The two groups filed complaints against Clinton, D-N.Y., and her then-Republican rival, New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, in April 2000. Lerner cleared the Giuliani campaign.

The FEC broadened the investigation to include Stabenow and Ashcroft, who also had set up joint fund-raising "victory" committees with the national parties.

Critics say the parties use such committees to funnel soft money to the candidates.

The FEC gave no explanation for its decision.

However, in an interview, Commissioner Scott Thomas said he made a motion to uphold the Lerner finding of wrongdoing but to take no disciplinary action. That motion was rejected 4-2, he said.

Aldrich does a wonderful job of listing all the reasons Hitlery got those boos.....I do hope his prediction is correct.....that she will soon be history....but I'm not so sure.....NY is stuck with her for 6 years....I would hope that the NY GOP would pick up on a suggestion by another Freeper for bumper stickers that say:

DON'T BLAME ME .....I VOTED FOR LAZIO!

I quick check of the facts reveals that Ford graduated from the same high school as Hillary. Ford graduated in 1960, Hillary in '65.

Wow! I hope we keep seeing articles like this until Hillary is sent packing.

And, in case the liberals forget, let's keep this in front of them: “We won’t forget”

I actually have a good friend who was Secret Service for Bush 41. DIRTPOTUS showed up, and he finally got so disgusted he quit. (He was an ex-serviceman, Navy or Marines, too. Any wonder he couldn't take the children in the WH anymore?

I know what you mean, mine is in April but just being the same year or age as she is makes me upset.

Great seeing you.

Hillary did one good thing--she moved away from this part of the country. As for George the elder, he and the GOP of that era had to know that Bob Dole could not be elected. Why did they run him? Theories abound but if George the younger had not run I doubt that I would still be a republican. I knew he was the right man for the job when he fought for Florida. The old GOP would have folded up their tents and said let the big babies have it, we'll catch it next time around. That would have been the last straw for conservatives. He has a lot of house cleaning to do and a short time for such a massive job. The war is the big thing now but he has got to simultaneously sack the Clinton democrats from every level of government where they have burrowed in and can undermine his administration. Addressing voter fraud has also got to be a priority if he is to have a second term.

Most of the rest of the points Aldrich makes in this thought-provoking hit-piece range from satisfactory to near-brilliant.

But this paragraph you can flush. If New Yorkers didn't think of these things as important before they voted for the most brilliant woman in history, why are we to suppose that they have suddenly seen the light less than a year later? What has changed?

Amen. Voter fraud is definitely on the enemy's list of weaknesses to exploit. America has been so naive, so vulnerable. The enemy has been here all along studying our weaknesses, and we've been asleep, again.
