I am a recent graduate of Claremont McKenna College in Claremont (not that low class Montclare) where I studied the Classics and PPE (Pomposity, Punditry, and Egocentricity).

This year I am a Thomas J. Watson Fellow (and just to rub it in that is why my screen name is watsonfellow) studying Catholic (in the original Latin) and Islamic (in the originial squiggly lines) culture in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East (and if you're not impressed yet there's more).

I am a traditionalist Catholic who wakes up every morning to an alarm clock doing Gregorian Chants in the original Latin. I believe that scratching your crotch during Interleague Baseball games should be abolished and that Evelyn Waugh is the greatest snob of the century (I read all the Cliff Notes about him and saw the video of "The Loved One" 537 times.) I also support the idea that redundancy can be quite catchy as well as contagious.

First of all to prevent all the flamings, I should say that I am better than you because I am a traditional conservative, not one of you low-class populist conservatives. That being said, I thought it the height of rudeness for these firemen and policemen to boo and yell at the Senator this weekend. It lacked dignity and class. They should have kept their low-class populist mouths shut and have allowed the Senator to continue to believe that everybody loved her.

I wonder what Burke et al (I learned to quote Burke and et al in my PPE classes to impress you ignorant populists) would have said about this conservative embrace of very questionable manners. Even my butler found this to be quite quite rude. In fact I'll never forget how he tut-tutted over it for a full 5 minutes.

The policemen and firemen should have just done nothing when she appeared on stage. Remember, we as traditional conservatives must not ever ever show our emotions in public. Much better for the Senator to just roll over the peons. Remember, the important thing is not to express your true opinions but to act in a dignified way.

Thank you and did I tell you that I speak fluent Latin, drink port wine, and did a lot of PPEE PPEE in college after drinking too much of that port wine (the labels were in Latin)?

That was very funny actually. Cheers.

Actually, since next year I will be teaching in Compton, CA, through Teach for America, Decline and Fall has recently become my favorite Waugh novel.

I find Brideshead Revisted very sad and difficult to get through, although obviously brilliant.

teach for America

Teach For America is the national corps of outstanding and diverse, recent college graduates of all academic majors who commit two years to teach in urban and rural public schools.

See LINK. This guy gets better and better.

ROTFLOL!

Yet, still, not withering enough. If the lad wants to really be a conservative this pencil-necked geek attitude needs running through the wringer with maximum gusto!

HUH? Is this animal for real? LOL. When society has it too easy that's when people like this develop. They produce nothing for societal use and the bettermen of mankinds practical needs.

I have a Degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics. I graduated from the University of Minnesota, which at the time was ranked 3rd in the nation in that discipline. I designed airplanes. I know enough to know that I do not NEARLY know everything....but guys like this really interest me....they have no practical use...the represent the classic parasitic element to a overdeveloped society. Any positive benefit of these people's education toward the arts is obscured by their egos....more on next post...

They kind of remind me of the pieces of doggie doo-doo that don't have the common decency to fall onto the ground...but just hang around for the societal ride eventhough they have no obvious use other than to weigh down and feed off others productivity.
