Well written and sadly true..I had in high school a great friend from Pakistan..he was born in Pakistan but grew up in America, which he dearly loved..he had such a wonderful American accent that he won speech awards and was a DJ for a local radio station..but he was "brown as a paper bag" (his words not mine for you pc folks..few as they maybe) and if he and I were to about to board a flight here in America he should expect to be searched thorougly..I think he would understand..

She is SO right. But what is interesting is that many people who just 5 weeks ago would have NEVER considered doing any 'profiling' are getting into it, and not feeling guilty about it either!

I agree. Time to put the PC business on hold and use the eyes and ears of America to protect Americans. I intend to profile as needed to try and prevent any more terrorist actions. I don't intend to hurt any mid-easterners but I will watch.

Well I would feel a lot better about this if Peggy believed, like I do, that Middle Easterners on temporary visas here be deported for national security reasons. We can't expect the FBI and local Police to always be able to head off a potential terrorist act or apprehend every terrorist waiting for a green light. And I agree with Ms. Noonan that there are more than a few thousand sleeper terrorist cells in this country. Given how Clinton completely debased the INS for 8 years there are tens of thousands of Middle Easterners throughout the country that are either terrorists or seek to be terrorists. I also know what she is talking about when she describes the locked eye cold stares of foreigners that you know with their stare literally hate your guts. I have seen this more than a few times and it wasn't always Arabs. She did the right thing though, stare right back at them and watch what they do.
