Incredible.
The ChiCom foreign minister screaming "Communist China has become history".
Why don't they change their name from Chinese Communist Party.
They are whacked.

This is Shanghai, a big city on Chinese soil. How dare you call us communist China. What's his point? That if they were communist there is no way on God's green Earth that they ever could have been prosperous enough to build a functioning city?

On one occasion, as US Secretary of State Colin Powell and Russia's Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov looked on, Mr Tang - who was chairing the press conference - tried to block Mr Lin from commenting further. This is a great one. He's trying to shut up the Taiwan equivalent of Secretary of Commerce and keep him from answering questions to reporters -- all while Colin Powell and the Russian Secretary of State are right there watching.
These ChiComs are self destructing.

Wow this is incredible. What should we call them? Dictatorship China? Nazi China? The Evil Chinese Empire? Soviet China? These people are ridiculous.

Don't get too excited, when defending trade policies we extend to China, there are MANY MANY on this forum who say the same thing this Chinese leader did. "Communist? Oh they aren't Communist anymore. They're capitalists."
I'm waiting for the usual suspects to enter this thread.

my how times have changed ...I remember Bill Clinton was once corrected by the Chinese government when he mistakenly referred to China as a "former communist country"

I think Mr. Tang was startled to discover the difference between his own obedient cabinet officials and foreigners unmotivated to digest such absurd propaganda.

Once again, the ChiComs prove that they have zilch understanding of Public Relations.
It is amazing how carefully and gracefully they take aim -- and shoot themselves right in the foot.

The East should remain inscrutable ... they've none of the "former Soviet" finesse with regard erosion of the image of the enemy.
