There's an "I told you so" mood in the office of New York rookie Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. She promised to focus on local issues and ignore the call for higher office and has done just that, noticeably at a time when she could easily be making some hay following the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. "Our job is to fight for New York. Period," says aide Jim Kennedy. "She's being very careful not to grandstand or draw attention to herself," adds AP reporter Beth Harpaz, author of Girls in the Van, about Clinton's Senate campaign. In fact, Clinton has used virtually every post-September 11 speech to draw attention to the plight of New Yorkers while not playing the larger national role her GOP foes expected. But don't dismiss her chancesor interestin 2004, says New York-based pollster John Zogby. Noting her 59 percent approval rating, he says she is building a home base first. "I would not count her out of 2004," says Zogby. Understood, says the GOP, which is rolling out a book critical of the Clintons' final days in the Oval Office written by September 11 victim and Republican scandal sleuth Barbara Olson.

Isn't that guy on the right the fellow who appears on top of the WTC with an airplane behind him closing in? Who is he? Is he our 21st Kilroy?

Paul Bedard must have been living in a cave. The first couple of weeks after the WTC atrocity happened, almost every time President Bush or Mayor Giuliani made a televised statement, it was almost as if the media had to give the PIAPS equal time.

I just sent David Limbaugh's book back to the library! From what I recall, it was the FALN terrorists. They had ties to Puerto Rico.
I don't remember them being connected to the 1993 WTC bombing. I would have thought that pardoning guys who killed New Yorkers would have ofset any gain in hispanic or Puerto Rican votes. Dunno though...

Does she have a heart condition or something? No she causes heart problems.
She may have been advised on one of the basic roles of combat--"Try not to look important."

Lest America ever forget why The Nameless One, W(B)-97, and
all their enablers should be
hectored, hounded, and harried into silence, until

There is a clear attempt IMHO to do exactly what you say, at least on the morning news programs, i.e. give the liberal Democrats equal time. I saw a long interview on GMA in which they gave Missouri Senator Carnahan a lot of time to give people her insights into grief management, about the only thing she's qualified to do. These are the only two freshman senators I've seen interviewed on the networks; Clinton and Carnahan. Corzine, who represents us here in NJ, and who no doubt has a lot of dead constituents and contacts in the WTC, has been absent. The tragedy is being managed as a platform for a favored few by the media poobahs.

Click Here for the Rest of the Column. There's some very interesting stuff here. Such as:
Bombs away Remember America's last big air war, when a pilot using CIA coordinates accidentally blew up the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade in 1999? Well, one of the agents who took the fall for that operation is now telling his story of that failure in a job-discrimination lawsuit. Known only as "Mitford," he and a private contractor started with an outdated map. That much is known. But now we learn that he thought the team was only nominating targets and that they would be verified by the CIA or the Pentagon. They weren't. Worse, his boss had a spy on the payroll who could have ID'd the embassy location but was never asked to. Naturally, Mitford's career was stalled, the contractor was fired, and the boss was promotedand now works at the White House.
