Aaron Petit is a 16-year-old student at Fairview High School in Cleveland, Ohio. His sister was injured in the World Trade Tower collapse. His brother is a Columbus firefighter. Aaron had some very strong feelings about the attack and about our response.
Aaron put some posters on his locker. One was the crying eagle picture created by D.E. Waldron and Guy Parneix that has been circulating around the Internet. The illustration does a beautiful job of expressing the sorrow that most Americans felt at the terrible loss of life in the terrorist attack on New York. The other poster was a depiction of American airplanes dropping bombs on Ashcanistan.
Well
along comes Associate Principal James Haughtaling. He didnt like the signs. He yanked them down and called Aaron to his office for a dressing-down. Haughtaling said the signs could are you sitting down? offend Middle Eastern students. The next day Aaron got a 10-DAY SUSPENSION for his actions.
So this worthless government school administrator feels that an expression of sorrow and desire for retribution might be offensive to someone? Well, who the hell cares? The fact is we ARE bombing Afghanistan. The fact is Americans ARE upset and crying over what happened in New York. These are facts. They cant be changed. If the facts are offensive to some people well, then, that just comes under the heading of "too damned bad.
Can you imagine this, folks? A 10-day suspension?
Everywhere we turn we hear similar stories from various government schools. One kid is suspended for drawing a picture of the attack on New York and then smiling when he shows his work to the principal. We had that teacher who said that she wished the airplane had struck the White House and that George Bush had been there. Another teacher burns an American flag in the classroom. One school puts "God Bless America on its marquee and the ACLU has an entire litter of gerbils.
When we get through with the war on terrorism overseas we need to concentrate on the war on intellectual terrorism in our nations government schools.

Oh my God!It is all I can do to restrain myself to not hack into this jerkoff's bank account and delete every F@#$%^g penny. Then destroy his credit rating for the next seven years....and oh boy, is there more I would do!!!...and wish I could do. But, being law abiding, I won't. Yet, he certainly deserves anything awful that CAN befall him.

He has already gotten a judge to readmitt him to school.

Too many, especially in localized power positions, are
still playing the "politically correct" game.
They fail to see that the mass American attitude has made
a drastic, obvious shift in the last month.
Let us hope it does not take another major terrorist
atrosity on American soil for them to come to their senses.

The
ONE THING that school administrators fear, above all else, is
bad publicity.
How do we make this happen?
Well, it begins when about 60,000 people on the internet sees this and start calling news stations, calling the school superintendent and everyone else about this fool's un-American actions and exposes him for what he is.
To: softengine
Too bad he couldn't withdraw from the public school and go to a private school. School administrations hate losing the extra dollars each student brings with them via the government.

God bless that judge! Every judge who serves the cause of righteousness is doing God's work in the world. We need to pray for judges as well as our soldiers, firemen, and policemen, because they are going to come under powerful assaults like these.
Yes, publicity is the key here. Anyone who experiences harassment for their AMERICAN patriotism needs to post it all over the Internet; alert all the major media, and *file that lawsuit* against the offending institution.

Associate Principal James Haughtaling shows the sort of gentle nature and responsiveness to young teenage grief and anger over a great national calamity that he should not be allowed near children again in his life.
The school board should begin taking action on this guy, and his boss, and his boss' boss - however far up it goes.

Thanks for posting this article. Once again we see the absurdity of the actions of some of the leaders of public education. Public education is in such chaos that it is a wonder that our great country survives. However, there are those of us who have opted out of public (read statist) education and have chosen to learn instead.
To: softengine
Why is it the goal of every public employee idiot to prevent anyone being offended. Is this a new constitutional amendment or something. Freedom from being offended.

When we get through with the war on terrorism overseas we need to concentrate on the war on intellectual terrorism in our nations government schools. We cannot afford to wait until our war on terrorism is over. We must confront this nonsense and expose them to public so that our kids will be protected from the politically (in)correct terrorists in our schools.

I tried to find some email addresses for this district, but they appear to be long on not hearing from their constituency. The only thing I could find was a webmasters email address: webteam@cmsdnet.net. Some tech savy FReeper ought to find some email box close to this jerk that we can FReep big time.
To: softengine
IT's time to come down on these idiots en mass. It's the only thing that will rectify this type of nonsense. Call, fax or e-mail that school board.

Unfortunately, too many stupid people (government lackey school officials) have too much power to destroy kid's lives with their zero tolerance nonsense. TEN DAYS' SUSPENSION! This kid and his parents should be out looking for a new school (private) or have him take courses on the internet. These lackeys still don't realize that this country changed drastically on September 11 at 8:45 a.m. Not many people are interested in multiculturism and liberal kumbayah anymore. It's time for the government schools to educate foreign-born students about America and it's history as they did in the beginning of the last century -- and not cater to their "feelings."
