Not always, but overall, YES freedom and unfiltered information are good. But the RCC and it's members do have a problem with those concepts. They interfere with the RCC's own fascist plans.

Since I am a coward, I'd probably ask them what they thought about it. Assuming the person in question had no religious background and, forced to answer under the penalty of pain or death, I'd simply say; "Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior".

I would not attempt an answer to anyone of another religous group except to recommend they live byu the tenets of their religion. (I don't believe a person must be a Christian to be saved.)

There are websites run by RC's that show enemy lists of Protestants with enough guts to speak out on some of the non-Biblical ideas and beliefs of the RCC via the spoken word, printed word and internet. I know of none of these websites among Protestants (with RC enemy lists). Now, of course, and if questioned, I'm sure the Vatican would disavow knowledge or approval of said content. LOL.

And was/is that always a good thing? Take a look at the internet. Any nutcase with a computer can publish, for the whole world to see, anything they want. It doesn't matter how factual their material is because there are no editors nor hardly any oversight. At the time, the printing press was comperable to the internet in its technological impact.

As I was slushing through the "The New Advent" site, I just happened to run across this ditty on the Roman Claim that proves that they are within their rights to claim them selves as successors of the apostles, this makes it official.
