I have a theory I'd like to test out on you.

You will recall that the Sept. 11 hijackers totaled 19. The number 19 just doesn't make sense.

There were three five-man teams and one four-man team.

All three five-man teams completed their missions – crashing two planes into the World Trade Center and destroying it and crashing another airliner into the Pentagon.

The unsuccessful four-man team was apparently overpowered by passengers and the plane crashed into a Pennsylvania field.

Here's my theory: Someone didn't show up for work that day. One of the hijack conspirators got cold feet. Someone who went through an immense amount of planning and training is still alive and probably not only on the run from the U.S. authorities but in danger for his life from Osama bin Laden.

Do you see where I'm going?

Now, some of you will recall that Zacharias Moussaoui was arrested in Minnesota a month before the attacks. Some have referred to him as the 20th hijacker. He may well have been. He could be the guy who was planning to be on that hijacked flight that crashed in Pennsylvania.

But I don't think so.

Moussaoui is the chap who had the manual for a crop-dusting plane among his possessions. That indicates to me that he had other plans than to be on one of the planes Sept. 11. He was going to lead the chemical or biological attack on America. We also now know that Moussaoui was in contact with Mohammed Atta, one of the doomed suicide hijackers of Sept. 11.

What was Moussaoui's major role with bin Laden's group? He is a 33-year-old French Moroccan who specialized in recruiting other young Muslims to fight for the cause. It seems unlikely a replacement could not have been found if indeed he was to give his life Sept. 11.

Moussaoui was inquiring about flying lessons for passenger airliners, but I'm not convinced he was the 20th hijacker. Not at all. If we assume he was, we could be making a major miscalculation. We could be ignoring another suspect – one who could greatly help the United States get inside the terrorist network of bin Laden.

It seems to me that bin Laden's group had ample opportunity to find a fifth member of the hijack team – a whole month following Moussaoui's arrest, if indeed that was his plan. Why didn't it? Why did that fourth terror crew risk the operation by being understaffed?

Did you see the photos of the hijackers on that plane? Two of them appeared to be too young to shave. No wonder the passengers were able to overtake them and at least steer the plane into crashing in the middle of nowhere as opposed to a strategic target.

I think the plan was to have four five-member teams active Sept. 11. I think somebody chickened out.

What if we were to find that 20th hijacker? Can you imagine the wealth of information he could provide?

We've got to find a way to bring this agent in from the cold. He needs protection from bin Laden. A deal needs to be made.

This could be the most important break in the case – if I'm right.

If I'm wrong, we've lost nothing. But I sincerely hope U.S. authorities have considered this possibility and are pulling out all the stops to find the would-be hijacker before he is snuffed by bin Laden.

What do you think? Am I missing something? Or are we overlooking the obvious?

Well, maybe Joe doesn't think the guy in Minnesota is the 20th terrorist, but everyone else does and the whole plot could have been exposed if that federal judge had allowed the warrant requested by the FBI to open his computer. As it was they couldn't get the warrant until September 12th.

Apparently his computer contained evidence of the WTC disaster.

Joe has to stop speed reading while doing research.

It is more apparent that there were to be six planes with 5 man takeover crews. If true, then 11 turds are missing.

The other main theory floating around about only the leader of each group knowing it was a suicide mission would mean there are 9 guys out there that might be pissed that someone had booked them for a trip to Allah.

I'd be looking for either 2 unclaimed Islamic corpses or 8-9 unclaimed corpses found in suspicious circumstances.

It's doubtful the two missing groups could be reactivated now that the whole plot is known.

Who knows ? But speculation seems to keep Joe busy.

Mornin', Darlin'! I think there were at least 10, 5-man teams, possibly 20, that were supposed to go East-to-West during the day, on 9/11! When President Bush and the FAA shut-down the air-traffic system, most never even got on a plane.

It doesn't make sense that there were only four teams. Other probable targets: Renaisance Center/Penobscott Bldg, Detroit, Sears Tower, Chicago, St. Louis Arch, Big-Ugly-Bldg, Dallas, 'Mall-of-America, Wherever', Seattle Needle, etc, etc.

These people don't have any sustaining-powers. By that, I mean, if we want to bomb someone, we can do it relentlessly, for 30, 60, or 90 days, and continue. These people knew that they only had one shot at turning our own aircraft into guided missles. It would take 30 years for us to get complacent enough, for them to attempt it again.

I said all of that to say this: This was a Military Maneuver, designed to disrupt our business system, busy us with a lot of casualties and damage, and cripple our Economy.

The next logical step, would be to follow-up with additional, infrastructure attacks, such-as, bio-chem releases, which are actually not-that-dangerous, but tend to paralyze an already scared population, not-yet on a war-footing!

Remember, this is Military Plan, designed to destroy the United States of America! We have to be crippled, and rendered impotent! Remember Pearl Harbour? We didn't have a functional Battleship after Dec, 7th, 1941! So what's next from the Enemy?

Well, I don't know how many Islamic regiemes have been buying-up old Soviet diesel-subs, but Iran has at least 3 operational, and has 8 total, and they wern't empty beer-cans - they came with torpedoes, and maybe more stuff.

The idea of a huge, oil-tanker going amiss off our Atlantic shore isn't very appealing. Hmmm, the NATO Maritime Forces are now patrolling our Eastern Shores.

The trick is to remember that this is a Military Operation against our Country, designed to defeat us! Everything is in play! Oil! Energy! Manufacturing! Water! Transportation! Commerce! Think Military, not emotional!

Frankly, having G.W. Bush as President of the United States of America, at this time, and in this place, we are truly blessed. We have an Air Force Fighter Pilot as Commander-in-Chief, and he knew what-to-do, and did it!

There will be tribulations ahead, as we remove the cancer-of-Islamic-terrorism aimed at the Free-World, but we will prevail! We pulled 'Dirty-Little-Nip-Jap-Yellow-skinned-Bastards' out of caves in the South-Pacific in the late 50's, and fed them, and sent them back to work at Toyota!

Most people who have been deep into the terrorist cells think the guy in Minnesota was the 20th man in the four teams, but like you said, there were supposed to be many more teams.

As I've said about 100 times in the past year, when you travel a lot internationally and get exposed to news outside the US, you find out that this Islamic war against America has been going on quite awhile, but our press has remained totally silent. I got into a huge flame war a couple of months ago when I said that Muslims all over Indonesia and the Philippines were butchering Catholic & other Christian missionaries and slaughtering whole churches-full of people. They also take Western tourist hostages everyday off beaches and out of hotels and behead them in the jungle. We are now (finally) getting reports these guys are part of the bin Laden network.

September 11th can be laid fully at the feet of the American press, which spent the entire past year pimping the Democrat talking points about "lock boxes" and "destroying Social Security" instead of paying attention to the very public war that was declared on this country by Islamic fanatics.

This story didn't even require any investigation...it was there, everyday on the AP.

WW-III has begun, and we will prevail, in many ways, and in many places! It's interesting to plot out the strategy, and it's nice to have 400+ M-1-A-1 Abrams Tanks in Saudi Arabia, with our guys driving!

I was aware of the atrocities in the Philipines and Indonesia. It will be interesting to see how the Commie-presstitutes treat GW in his prosecution of this very-necessary war-on-terrorism, when we get to them!

gonzo, there's only one problem with your proposed attack plan...it wouldn't "destroy America." It wouldn't even come close. About all it would do would be what SEEMS impossible--p*ss us off even more than we are now. And we're already plenty PO'd. Much more than this, and we start executing what is politely known as a "strategic laydown" on most of Central and Southwest Asia.

I suspect that you are right about the multiple teams. I also suspect that all teams were set to go at about the same time, but that somebody screwed up and didn't account for the different time zones across the country. That mistake saved those west of the Eastern Time Zone.

I was just viewing what happenned as a Military Operation, to figure-out what comes next, on their part. After all, if yer gonna start WW-III, ya gotta think that ya have a winning strategy, so what is it?

BTW, a transponder setting of: 0-0-0-0 means 'Incoming Ballistic Missle', and triggers an automatic FAA response. Not stupid - just arrogant and clumsy, IMHO....FRegards

Along with significant numbers of F-16's and well trained Saudi Pilots. What worries me is that one little tremor in that area could put ALL these weapons into the hands of the enemy. I think that was also part of the plan.

Again, I'm not suggesting that the Chinese were "behind this". But I AM again noting that we have many prospective competitive enemies, and many of them are capable of lending covert support to the "known" enemy, especially if they feel their efforts were hidden well enough from a Clinton comprimised US intelligence that they would go undetected. I'm convinced many of them have. So this war is just beginning (so fresh we haven't taken a single battle casualty in a mountainous campaign some are equating with Iwo Jima), and the final players may not all be known yet.

I agree about China, Coyote, but through my binoculors, I see a Chinese border with Afghanistan.

This isn't gonna be anything like Viet-Nam, and it isn't going to be a re-run of the Soviet experience. We'll be doing things very different, and with modern tech-toys. A plus is that there won't be a foreign power, even China, to re-supply the opposition this time, because simply-put, there is no Organization with Afghans. They're tribes and clans.

The Afghans are not Arabs, and, as a Country, it's doubtful that they could ever be defeated without killing every last one of them, and what's the point? They respond better to food, animals, and transportation. And we know how to make good roads.

The Afghans are not the enemy, Coyote. They'll soon be our friends. Then, we'll continue after the bad-guys. Stay well and vigilant....FRegards
