OK here are the pics I took of today's counter demonstartion in New York. Later we went to O'Luney's in midtown where we partook of alcholic beverages and ordered pork chops and roast pig to celebrate the begining of the campaign of "infinite Revenge".
Please be patient, lot's of K's on the photos and may take a few minutes to upload. Go make yourself a roast pork sandwitch while they are downloading and have yourself a beer.

Great pictures! Thanks for taking them. And thanks to everyone who showed up on such short notice.
We seemed to have some press attention this time (I spoke to NYTimes, Corriere della Sera, USA Today), but so far I haven't seen anything. Please post to FR if you see anything.
This was one of the most gratifying rallies because of all the positive attention from vehicles passing by. There was a traffic light at 15th Street, which gave lots of people in cars, buses, and trucks a good look at the rally, and KLT's husband's sign, saying HONK IF YOU LOVE AMERICA, prompted them to fill the air with wild honking, if they hadn't started already. For once, an encouraging rally where most of the passersby were on our side.

Great sign, ELS. NY FReepers are a great looking bunch of patriotic Americans! FReep On!

5) Punch him in the face . . . hard.
6) When he gets up to punch you, point out to him that it would be a mistake (and contrary to his values) to punch you because he would be causing more violence. You left out "Kick him while he's down" between numbers 5 and 6 ;-)

Bump, and freep on, NY!!

One of you interviewed the media while wearing a FreeRepublic cap. The man wearing the cap had glasses on. He did a great job! I saw it last night on C-Span's "Canadian" coverage.

Freeper "Yehuda" is having some problems posting which I may have accidentally caused (and is being very gracious to me despite that).
Yehuda asked me to post this in the meantime:
"One of the two guys in the yarmulkes (hint, it was the guy in the NRA cap and the white beard) says "Mazel Tov and what a great way to meet so many great Americans!" I came back from the rally and drinks last night to find that I had been suspended for 24 hours (the freepmail from the moderator said for one hour but I am still timed out from posting...)
After some guy called me a traitor the night before in a thread ( I think it was dubyaagain, some Israel bashing troller posting since last week) I responded by telling him to watch his mouth, and his *ss... Ostensibly I was suspended because "Vague threats are not allowed."
Guess I should have been more specific (gr)... See you all in a few days

I don't know what the fuss was about, really. It was just a very bright piece of yellow poster board that said "Hey Peaceniks: WHAT COLOR is this sign?" But for some reason it really seemed to fry a few people's pork chops. LOL! The truth hurts. Thank you so much for showing the misguided the true meaning of patriotism. (^:
To: Who's the guy in the FR cap and glass interviewed by C-SPAN?
See Uncle Sham's post. Come forward and take credit for what was apparently a fine interview.
To: firebrand
Whoops. I mean glasses. We weren't at O'Lunney's yet.

I was thinking that if a rally were held down here, wouldn't it be neat to have a bullhorn to shout a 60s era chant to go something like this:
Who do we love?
AMERICA!
How do we show it?
LET'S ROLL!
Anytime we can make a mockery of 60s radical methods, I think is great.
I also thought the gentleman who spent one rally singing all the patriotic songs he could think of was really great!
