Mr Blair says Islam is a 'deeply reflective, peaceful faith' Prime Minister Tony Blair has praised the Muslim faith as "beautiful", and says he has read the religion's holy book, the Koran.
Mr Blair says he owns two copies of the Koran, and has drawn inspiration from reading it.
"If you read the Koran, it is so clear... the concept of love and fellowship as the guiding spirits of humanity," he says, in an interview due to be published in the Muslim News.
Mr Blair told the newspaper that he appreciates Islam as "a deeply reflective, peaceful, very beautiful religious faith".
And he said he would be "very surprised" if Labour did not have Muslim candidates standing in winnable seats in the next election.
The newspaper - due to be published on 31 March - quotes Mr Blair as saying that Britain should "reach out and build a greater understanding of what Islam is".
Both books have words that could seem to justify violent acts against non-believers. And this is the exact perception that the United Nations has been trying to cram down the worlds leader's throats. Are you so blind as to think that only the Mohammedan religion is under attack? What do you think the UN has been saying about Christian religion's beliefs about homosexuality? What do you think the UN has been trying to say about Christian religion's perceptions of abortion?
You are facilitating world government's goal to outlaw all but secular religion.
Do not blindly throw about accusations that will come back to haunt you! Make specific reasoned criticisms if you must, but be careful not to extrapolate more meaning than is reasonable. For as you judge, so shall you all be judged.
Please show me the place in the New Testament (under which Christians are TRULY living) that exhorts Christians to decimate non-belivers. Honest question, looking forward to an answer.
[17.16] And when We wish to destroy a town, We send Our commandment to the people of it who lead easy lives, but they transgress therein; thus the word proves true against it, so We destroy it with utter destruction.
[18.59] And (as for) these towns, We destroyed them when they acted unjustly, and We have appointed a time for their destruction.
[25.13] And when they are cast into a narrow place in it, bound, they shall there call out for destruction.
[25.14] Call not this day for one destruction, but call for destructions many..
[25.36] Then We said: Go you both to the people who rejected Our communications; so We destroyed them with utter destruction..
[25.39] And to every one We gave examples and every one did We destroy with utter destruction.
[ 47.8] And (as for) those who disbelieve, for them is destruction and He has made their deeds ineffective. [47.10] Have they not then journeyed in the land and seen how was the end of those before them: Allah brought down destruction upon them, and the unbelievers shall have the like of it..
[47.8] And (as for) those who disbelieve, for them is destruction and He has made their deeds ineffective..
[47.10] Have they not then journeyed in the land and seen how was the end of those before them: Allah brought down destruction upon them, and the unbelievers shall have the like of it.
First of all, where do the ten commands [sic] suggest the murder of, e.g., Muslims? Unlike the Koran, which seemingly advocates the murder of ``infidels'', the ten commandMENTs don't. (Yeah, yeah, interpretation of the Koran, blah blah. Interpret this: ``Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who are the pious.'' (Koran 9:123) Just one of many...)
Second, if you'd like to understand why the Old Testament no longer binds/governs a Christian, do a study on ``freedom in Christ'' or on the book of Hebrews.
Only if you believe that the Koran and the Christian scriputures are equally valid and true. A faithful Christian will reject any such an equivalence out of hand. A faithful Christian has no problem repudiating any reputed scripture that the Spirit tells him is false.
That doesn't mean faithful Christians represent the same threat to others that radical Muslims represent. They do not. In their personal lives they are to be as wise as serpents, but as harmless as doves. That means they will be constantly and vigorously judging between truth and falsehood, between good and evil, and embracing the former and steadfastly rejecting the latter without apology or excuse.
And if our country calls them to fight terrorists who threaten our lives and way of life, they will respond with all the vigor and dedication they can muster.
So, ya wanna 'splain WTF yer PM is thinkin?
Nibblin' the mushrooms again, eh?
I know a few Muslim chaps two of them are my closest mates, apart from the fact that when in the pub they dont drink they are real great fellahs.
Tony Blair is doing the right thing, this is not a conventional war, where is the enemy there is the enemy.
This is a war against a terrorist movement, a terrorist is an individual who will use force both covertly or overtly to achieve a aim, the job of he security forces is to defeat that terrorist.
Like Moe stated in his red book on revelation, the terrorist will act like a fish swimming amongst the people, in that way every time you try to hit him, you end up hitting the people hopefully from the terrorists point of view creating more recruits to the cause.
The Terrorist who committed this outrage want you to blame all Muslims, because it will drive a rift between the East and West, they dont want there brightest and best fleeing the Middle east and going West they want them to stay under Islamic control, they want America out of the Middle East because they believe without American backing the Royal houses of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait the pro Western Government of Egypt and all other pro western Arab governments will fall.
We have a choice either we fight the extremists at there own game which is the hearts of minds of the Islamic world population or we withdraw and allow them to have there Islamic super state, which will be just as successful as the Communist States were
Tony
Is he trying to play both sides of this?
check out islamreview.com This site breaks it down very well.
I'm not advocating blind hatred or racism Tony, (I've got friends who are Sikh and Buddhist) and I fully understand the terrorists tactics and goals. Just trying to make my teeny brain understand this situation...
But I do know COIN strategy, and one of the first tactics is isolate the terrorists, whether Tony Blair believes what he says or otherwise its a good tactic, alls fair in Love war and COIN ops, I would go round cheerfully saying I believe its right to walk around with a banana stuck up my butt if it helps to isolate the terrorists from a population of people who believe in bananas rammed up there butt.
As a young boy I used to have a childrens bible I didnt learn about good or bad or morals from the book as I just concentrated on the battles it was just one of a whole range of war books I collected as a boy.
You get out of any book what you want
Tony
Let's see the Muslim faith teaches to kill Christians, Jews and to destroy America, so:

It's getting more amusing by the hour. When will the thread titled Farrakan attends White House Thanksgiving Dinner - Prays over Special Mosque Turkey be posted?
All is not in vain.
Am taking Thanksgiving 'off' this year ... may just fast tomorrow and feast on Friday once I'm home with family. Trust you get the opportunity (one way or another, like me) to enjoy the company of those souls for whom we fight hardest ... may God grant you and yours every possible blessing.
Does Blair ever say the Bible or the Christian faith has inspired him???
Thanks for all the article BTTTs Uncle Bill-they are great factual amunition to back up what many of us on FR see and are complaining about.
