Tha Koran is full of contradictions. It advocates the violent subjugation/torture/extermination of non-believers, so I have trouble seeing the Koran as a "the concept of love and fellowship as the guiding spirits of humanity," "a deeply reflective, peaceful, very beautiful religious faith" that your PM calls it...

Is he trying to play both sides of this?

check out islamreview.com This site breaks it down very well.

I'm not advocating blind hatred or racism Tony, (I've got friends who are Sikh and Buddhist) and I fully understand the terrorists tactics and goals. Just trying to make my teeny brain understand this situation...

I don’t pretend to be a religious expert on the Koran, or the Bible or the Jewish book, I leave that sort of thing to old blokes who like arguing about how many angels can dance on a pin.

But I do know COIN strategy, and one of the first tactics is isolate the terrorists, whether Tony Blair believes what he says or otherwise its a good tactic, alls fair in Love war and COIN ops, I would go round cheerfully saying I believe its right to walk around with a banana stuck up my butt if it helps to isolate the terrorists from a population of people who believe in bananas rammed up there butt.

As a young boy I used to have a children’s bible I didn’t learn about good or bad or morals from the book as I just concentrated on the battles it was just one of a whole range of war books I collected as a boy.

You get out of any book what you want

Tony
