There have been plenty of articles on how the sun is causing Mars to get warmer. Now here's an article about Neptune.

(Of course I still think global warming is a great reason to build more nuclear power plants!)

I dread the inevitable thread about Global Warming on Uranus.

Only after a couple of bowls of Texas chili. But I usually don't go around talking about it.

Like has been said....just follow the money. If you can’t prove something and you keep the people confused and scared, there’s money to be made in it. That’s exactly what Gore is doing.

But whenever anyone points out that other planets are warming at the exact same rate as Earth, the enviro-loons reply that means nothing because the warming on the different planets is not due to the one thing they share (the source of their warmth: the sun) but to completely different things on each planet: the differing stmospheres, the dust storms on Mars, etc. Because Occam’s Razor tells us that when you see the same effect occur repeatedly, the most likely explanation is the most complicated, convoluted thing you can come up with. Oh wait, no: it tells us the opposite. Never mind.

I have friends on Neptune. They say that it’s been as hot as the blazes in recent years. It’s almost up to 180 degrees below zero, and they are worried that the dry ice might melt.

Believe it or not, when the Sun is more energetic and putting out more energy, the Earth tends to warm up, and when the Sun cools down, so does the Earth.

Hehe!

Changes in solar energy output are far too small to directly account for temperature changes on Earth, let alone Neptune where the effect would be more than 50 times smaller.

Neat. Shows both the Moon and the rings around Uranus at the same time.

something i don’t understand is that the experts have told us that the sun will eventually burn itself out after continuing to expand its size. doesn’t it stand to reason the if the sun is continuing to expand that the temps here on earth would gradually increase? if this is the case what does man have to do with the increase in temps and what can he do to prevent the sun from expanding? just a thought.

a distance 30 times the distance from the Earth to the Sun

For the sun to do this to Neptune (and Pluto), the effect on earth would be 900 times as much. That is, the oceans would boil. Boil off.

Then explain why these other planets are heating up at the same time.
