[history]
November 4, 2003 -- Mayor Bloomberg, in an unusually sharp jab at Rudy Giuliani, says racial issues tinged every aspect of his predecessor's administration. "You forget that every single decision, everybody, every story, everything was always couched in terms of race," Bloomberg says in the December issue of Vanity Fair, which hits newsstands tomorrow.

Not only is it not true, but even if you assume it is true the 2000 U.S. Census lists the population of NYC as
8,008,278.
What are 2000 deaths compared to the total population? What is the leading cause of death in NYC? What are the total number of annual deaths in NYC?
The point is that even if these phonied up death statistics are true, they're a mere drop in the bucket and engaging in massive social engineering over a drop in the bucket should give us a clue as to where this jerk is headed.

4) Realizes that he ran as a Republican, and many probably cast a vote for him simply based on the principals of the party. Principals that he claims to endorse.Actually, he won the general election because in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, Rudy was treated like a god and literally dragged him across the finish line. The Bloomberg commercials starring Rudy were relentless in the weeks before the election. Hell, if I still weren't so pissed off at how he literally bought the GOP nomination (by promising to finance his own campaign, thereby freeing up state GOP money for Pataki's re-election the following year, as pre-9/11, Pataki was far from a shoo-in, as well as tossing cash at city GOP candidates and grassroots clubs, but only ones that endorsed him), those commercials would have really moved me.

Thanks. :) I just loathe this guy so much, and I have a feeling that his "non-partisan elections" fetish will fail in today's election, because people see it as a referendum on him.

If Mayor Bloomy thinks being Mayor of NYC is beneath his social position then he should resign, today.

Excellent post with which I agree wholeheartedly, including the use of the term "assclown" to refer to Bloomberg. It should be his official title.

Momey, money, money is all bloombutt understands.
To get the smoking ban passed he threated city council members with bankrolling opponents against anyone who voted against it.

I hope you're right - but unfortunately even if you are, his ego is of such magnitude he will not see it for the mandate against him that it truly is.

Even the EPS's totally bogus numbers only claim 3,000 AMERICANS, total. Regardless .. you don't compare that to the terror attacks of 9/11

"No one should infer any criticism of Mayor Giuliani in either of those statements," he said. How could you not.
Sounds like the good Mayor have seen the writing on the wall, the article reeks of sour grapes, and the mayor sounds like a spoiled child.

Actually, the census is an undercount. I've heard from other (reliable) sources that if you could magically get a hold on all of the illegals in thiss city, the population would be approx. 8,300,000.
