Wasn't that thoughtful of them, making the ban effective July 2004 instead of January 2005 so smokers wouldn't have to go out in the cold and smoke.
Who says the Mass legislature doesn't have a heart?
They say they are "leveling the playing field" but I'll bet the bar and restaurant owners on the NH,VT,and RI state lines are not going to be very happy.

Yea, Level Playing Field. And your right! NH, VT and RI are going to be VERY happy, until that stink rubs off on THEM! I hope their lawmakers have a set and tell the anti's to bug off.

Nice, eh? Just what I need........Jack Boots telling me how to use a legal product.

So why do you listen? Live on your own land, do your own thing. I don't need a restraunt or bar for dinner - I got cows!

My house is REALLY becoming my castle, and it will be more so come January 1st! As for now, that's the only recreation I have.......going out to dinner. But, oh well. I will adjust, that's for sure.

My house is REALLY becoming my castleThat's the way it's always been for me. Don't like "people" all that much, and would rather pan fry a steak with patatas on the side, than go out and rub elbows with snots who care less for me than their own civil rights......let'm eat cake, or shiite...matters not to me.

Lady, I wish you the best. I really do. Thank you for your service - and that of your husband.
But from my cabin in the woods, I could give a rat's ass what they ban, or don't.
Who cares anymore?

The reason that nursing homes are exempt is there is an inflential Rat state rep who's mother is in a nursing home, and she smokes.

I was just commenting on your reply about relying on yourself, not society. John Prine wrote that song about getting out of the rat race. It's a cute little whimsical tune, but still serious in it's own sort of way.
