Our Mission: The FReeper Foxhole is dedicated to Veterans of our Nation's military forces and to others who are affected in their relationships with Veterans. In the FReeper Foxhole, Veterans or their family members should feel free to address their specific circumstances or whatever issues concern them in an atmosphere of peace, understanding, brotherhood and support. The FReeper Foxhole hopes to share with it's readers an open forum where we can learn about and discuss military history, military news and other topics of concern or interest to our readers be they Veteran's, Current Duty or anyone interested in what we have to offer. If the Foxhole makes someone appreciate, even a little, what others have sacrificed for us, then it has accomplished one of it's missions. We hope the Foxhole in some small way helps us to remember and honor those who came before us.

![]() Father's Day is a special day at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Every year volunteers join sons and daughters of those whose names are inscribed on The Wall and gather in the early morning to affix 1,000 long-stemmed roses with messages of love and honor, sent from across the country to those lost in the war. Red roses represent those killed in action in Vietnam and yellow roses are for those who remain missing. As part of the ceremony each message is read aloud and each rose is touched to the loved one's name on The Wall before finally being placed at the base of the Memorial. ![]() For more information on how to participate in the Father's Day Rose Remembrance, please contact the Memorial Fund at (202) 393-0090 or via email at vvmf@vvmf.org. ![]() Link to Press release in Adobe Format. Hiya Valin. We're going to an air show this afternoon. Going to tour a B-17 and a B-24. Yippee
Ya! Well I'm doing laundry! so there!
Hope everyone had a good one; it was great here. Spent the first half of the day with my parents (capped off with a trip out to the OKC gun club with my Dad to try out the gift I'd gotten him), and the last half with my wife and kids.
Beautiful weather, and a great day.
Hiya AJC. Glad you had a good dad's day. :-)
