Our Mission: The FReeper Foxhole is dedicated to Veterans of our Nation's military forces and to others who are affected in their relationships with Veterans. In the FReeper Foxhole, Veterans or their family members should feel free to address their specific circumstances or whatever issues concern them in an atmosphere of peace, understanding, brotherhood and support. The FReeper Foxhole hopes to share with it's readers an open forum where we can learn about and discuss military history, military news and other topics of concern or interest to our readers be they Veteran's, Current Duty or anyone interested in what we have to offer. If the Foxhole makes someone appreciate, even a little, what others have sacrificed for us, then it has accomplished one of it's missions. We hope the Foxhole in some small way helps us to remember and honor those who came before us.

"The Washing of the Spears," standard text on the Zulu War, says that Lt. Bromhead was stone deaf ... that's why his company was sitting in the rear! If they'd had that in the movie, it would have looked like "Monty Python and the Zulus!"
Ready for some chow!
My Independence Day dress.
I'm gonna have to grow for this Foxette headgear.
The Sandpebbles too....they just don't make them as good as this....
OH, what a cutie! Is this your first girl? One of my college friends is having a girl next month; I'm looking forward to shopping for her, since my last two were boys.
LOL. She's so cute. We figured it would take awhile to grow into the clothes but we couldn't find any Foxhole gear any smaller. Can't wait to see her in her camo a few months from now. Or a year. Whatever it takes we'll be waiting. :-)
Good afternoon from the Foxhole radu.
The little sandles are adorable. Thanks so much.
Oh Man! Thanks for the reminder. I think I'll see if I can rent it tonight. Haven't seen that one in a long time.
He's probably wandering around FR on other threads. We have a "help yourself" policy at the Foxhole.
Hi Radu. Prayers offered for Hubby's Aunt.
Hug back at ya.
AWWWWW! That Oregon bib looks just right on her. Based on the Hat size I guess the shorts can be used as a blanket right now.
ROFLOL
My husband just mentioned that he met one of the Ploesti pilots when we were sightseeing in Guthrie, OK. They were having a WW2 reunion of some sort, and he visited with the guys while I was in the Territorial Museum with the older kids. (But in my teens, I sat at the kitchen table with one of the Dam Busters!)
If anyone is ever by there, lots to see in Guthrie!
Looking over my shoulder, it's squarely stacked in the 'side tunnel' behind me.
Guess which one of us picked out the camo. LOL.
"So how come you haven't offered me a beer yet, Darksheare?"
Well, check in that plastic lined howitzer ammo crate over there, there should be some ice in there, and drinkable expendable in there.
Watched Geronimo last night ...this is such a great movie...
The grandeur of the Southwest...
Ry Coders soundtrack...the U.S. Calvary on the march.
Reflecting..
Thought to myself..."Thats what those treacherous Jihadi/death cultists in Iraq need.....A U.S. Divison of Full Blooded Apache's comming down on them"...
Hamdi would just $...!
Robert Duvall..[Al Seibert] in the movie comments...
"You get into a fight with the Apache......you save the last bullet for yourself"
You and got to talk to one of the DamBusters and your husband met a Ploesti pilot!! I'm jealous. It wuold have been such an honor for me.
Snippy?
Only saw "Geronimo" once, when it first came out. IMHO the Cavalry uniforms of that time were the best uniforms the U.S. Military ever had.
