Ron Paul [R-TX] Stands out from the Crowd
YouTube ^ | 20070606 | AnimusLiberti

Despite a limited format with CNN, last night, Rep Ron Paul MD [R-TX] continues to stand out from that crowd.

Particularly, the focus brought to a Christian "Just War" and how he alone declared the immorality of discussing PreEmptive Nuclear Attacks upon a Nation that has not harmed us, namely Iran. Also, his points that the Operation Enduring Freedom is serving a Policeman's role hits us with the impossibilities we have pitted our Brave Forces against.

We need the courage of a Ron Paul!!!!

Go Ron Go!!!

Go Ron Go!!!

Go Ron Go!!!

“There are no innocent people in Iran.”

Were there no innocent people in the Twin Towers?

Wait a minute... are you actually trying to nuance the distinction between "American brought 9/11 on itself" and "the American government brought 9/11 on itself"?

Yes.   He is.

>Simply put, there are people out there who want us all dead, and they will do their best to bring trouble to us. We have to stop them at all costs, before they can kill as many of our people as possible.<

I woulod feel much safer if Bush closed our borders.

As Pope John Paul II noted to President Bush, there was no justification for the war under the Church's "Just War Theory".

Any attempt to claim there was is just another Texan dog that won't hunt.

I didn't see the Daily show but the Politically Incorrect TV audience is so far to the left that I believe the transcripts should be provided by the communist Chinese.

A good example is when Christopher Hitchens was on recently and gave Bill Mahers audience the middle finger after being booed for defending President Bush

Ron Paul justified his statement that we were attacked on 9/11 because of our own actions in the ME on a literal reading of Bin Laden’s own words. But when it comes to Ahmadinejad’s words he chooses to ignore the declaration of war against the US. He also chooses to ignore the many acts of war by Iran against the US and our allies the Brits and Israelis.

The selective reading means he has an agenda.

How many hours was he given during the debate to answer the question?

Why not help those groups to do it?

We use these sort of groups quite often. The Northern Alliance against the Taliban comes to mind. Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it backfires quite dramatically.

I hope he stands out enough that his District finally realizes what a nutcase he is and sends him packing.

“Perhaps, but being conservative by itself doesn’t exclude being ignorant.

We like Ron Paul because he is not only conservative, but he is also aware of the facts.

As it is, he is the only one.”

B.S. he’s not the only one.

Facts???? Perhaps you should elaborate, because if by facts you mean, america is the root cause of 9/11, then maybe you need to review your ‘facts’.

Whining that there was never a declaration of war even though we haven’t had one in a myriad of conflicts for over 30 years is a cheap shot. Bush isn’t the only one that hasn’t used a declaration of war. So, Bush can’t be considered to be shredding the constitution...if it’s shredded at all, it happened a long time ago. The entire attitude he has is disingenuous and eerily DNC.

Licking Jon Stewart’s colon isn’t an encouraging thought either, if you are a true conservative.

That is not what I said.

We knew he had WMD - he had used them. His troops thought they had them - chem suits, atropine pens, etc.

I like how Hans Blix phrased it. You can put out a sign that says Beware Of Dog without actually having a dog.

Don’t worry. When Iran gets close to a nuke.. Isreal will take care of it long before we do. We will be tied up talking with the UN.. Isreal will say ‘screw the UN’ and will do what is necessary.

We were shown pictures of nuclear bomb producing equipment. We were told of uranium purchases. We were led to believe that Iraq was on the verge of producing nuclear weapons that would be used against us and that was the justification to pre emptively invade. It turned out to be a crock and now, for the first time in our history, we have invaded a nation that did not attack us or our allies first.

If Saddam was truly a threat, the threat was gone the day we pulled him out of that spider hole. We should have turned him over to those Kurds he used poison gas on and got the hell out.

Using American troops to build nations is just plain wrong.

Using American and coalition troops to fight the WOT - OVER THERE - is fine with me. You can hid in a hole if you want. They are protecting this country from the Jihadis who want to kill us.

"..he chooses to ignore the declaration of war against the US. He also chooses to ignore.."

What do you suppose he would do if he were President? Since it isn't exactly his responsibility to do anything now anyway, what is he supposed to do about the threats in his capacity as U.S. Representative?

Those Arabs want us out. They want us out of their respective countries, and they want us out of the middle east, entirely.

Our military presence in the region is what was cited as the "reason" for all the attacks against U.S. military personnel in the region.

And, of course, the same reason was given for the attack on New York and Washington, as well.

But don't you worry, we aren't going to pull out anytime soon, so the hostilities can continue for years to come.

True. I think in the case of Iran or Venezuela, anyone other than who is running the country now is better. I guess the trick is to help them just enough to usurp power, and then we can hold that against them as a way of keeping them out of our hair afterwords.

As long as Olmert is PM, this won't happen. Israel needs to re-elect Bibi as PM. He will take care of Iran, whether they have nukes or not.

They won’t go away if we leave.

They'll go away if we withdraw our troops then use Ohio-class submarines to mop up.
