Despite a limited format with CNN, last night, Rep Ron Paul MD [R-TX] continues to stand out from that crowd.
Particularly, the focus brought to a Christian "Just War" and how he alone declared the immorality of discussing PreEmptive Nuclear Attacks upon a Nation that has not harmed us, namely Iran. Also, his points that the Operation Enduring Freedom is serving a Policeman's role hits us with the impossibilities we have pitted our Brave Forces against.
We need the courage of a Ron Paul!!!!
Perhaps, but being conservative by itself doesn't exclude being ignorant.
We like Ron Paul because he is not only conservative, but he is also aware of the facts.
As it is, he is the only one.
We need the Courage of Ron Paul : )
Indeed we do.
We should take the time to examine ALL of his positions and understand that each and every one is rooted in our Constitution.
Of all the “candiudates” Dr. Paul is the only one that can be trusted 100%. IMHO.
Why do you want to declare war on a country that, in your words, "has not harmed us"?
Amen to that!! Dr. Paul there are a few conservatives still left that remember the vision of the Framers. You've got my vote in the primary
He does stand out from the crowd. Even among a field that contains 2.5 RINOs, this guy is a stand-out moonbat.
As I watched Rep. Paul address the Christian view of Just War, it saddened me to realize that for the other 9 candidates on the stage it went completely over their heads. They couldn't address it because they don't understand it.
I have read “Brave New World”. I have also read “1984”. What they have in relation to this discussion I have no idea.
Things changed because of 9/11. You can accept this as a fact or deny it.
Most deniers have an outlook of a dem.
Ron Paul is partly talking about the pre-emptive war policy that George Bush declared in his National Security Directive back in 2002 — affectionately called “The Bush Doctrine”.
The Bush Doctrine is clouded in a lot of talk to make it sound like a good policy but it is basically a big middle finger to the rest of the world. Basically Bush declared that the U.S. has the right to pre-emptively attack any nation which it deems as a threat, regardless of whether the threat is valid or not. Under the Bush Doctrine the United States can invade or attack any country without having to provide valid reasoning and justification for it.
The Smartest Woman vs. The Dumbest Man.
Sounds like a fight between me and my wife.
And while he has been holding up his big middle finger to the rest of the world, the illegals have been stealing his pants.
Things changed because of 9/11.
No, things changed much earlier than that.
You are the one in denial.
Germany most definately harmed us in WWII. First of all, they sunk our merchant ships supplying England and, second, they declared war on us after the Pearl Harbor attack. Time to go back to History 101.
LOL
I suppose we should “talk” with them like the Democrats keep saying.
Perhaps he is saying we don’t ignore them, just don’t send troops to kill them?
Ron Paul is not Jesus. You do know that, right?
Wait until a nuclear bomb blows up one of our major cities. Then look for someone to fight, maybe.
“Under the Bush Doctrine the United States can invade or attack any country without having to provide valid reasoning and justification for it.”
That is pure BS. Show me where Bush has articulated that we can attack any country for any reason without justification.
I suppose Paul would have opposed the Israeli’s preemptive attack on the Arab countries in 1967 that were getting ready to try to push the Jews into the sea?
