I just read through some of your posts on this doctrine and that doctrine. Doctrine is from man - salvation is through Christ. Might want to concentrate there.

***Doctrine is from man - salvation is through Christ.***
Tell that to Paul!
1 Tim 5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
1 Tim. 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness
2 Tim 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Care to retract your statement in light of biblical teaching? Or shall I recommend someone to scratch your ears?

I just read through some of your posts on this doctrine and that doctrine. Doctrine is from man - salvation is through Christ. Might want to concentrate there. I do not believe that any non Catholic Christian or Protestant has said anything different.
The fact is that several different doctrinal positions are held by the non Catholic posters. But we are totally united on Who saves . Not a church or a doctrine , but Our Lord Jesus Christ.
On different times you may see us have doctrinal disagreements here.We will argue over the meaning of PAS or "works"
But even at our ugliest it is an in family debate
Is doctrine important? Doctrine does not save..but to have a correct doctrine is to have a correct view of God and salvation .Do I think that is important ..yes. Not to seek for a correct doctrine would show a disinterest in the understanding of God , his nature and His works
So we will disagree strongly on a single point . But I think we all understand that we are the family of God. We are brothers and sisters .
