Great Prophesied EventsThere are three great prophesied events coming from the Garabandal events, the Warning (Aviso in Spanish), the great Miracle and the conditional Chastisement which will come if the world does not change after the Warning and Miracle.

The first of these three events to occur is the Warning. It will be seen in the sky and then felt interiorly by everyone on earth. No one will escape it.

At a moment in the not too distant future, when the world is in the midst of a great turmoil, everything will be held in suspension. At that moment, everyone will see the wrong they have done and the good they have failed to do. It will be extremely painful; people would prefer to die rather than go through it. But it will cause no physical harm. If a person should die, it will only be from the shock of the experience. The Warning will serve as a purification to "correct the conscience of the world" and prepare it for the great Miracle.

"As my Message of October eighteenth [1961] has not been complied with and has not been made known to the world, I am advising you that this is the last one.

Before the cup was filling up. Now it is flowing over.

Many cardinals, many bishops and many priests are on the road to perdition and are taking many souls with them.

Less and less importance is being given to the Eucharist.

You should turn the wrath of God away from yourselves by your efforts. If you ask His forgiveness with sincere hearts He will pardon you.

I your mother, through the intercession of Saint Michael the Archangel, ask you to amend your lives.

You are now receiving the last warnings.

I wait until the Church has ruled on any apparition. I think to call a canonized saint who prophesied "a seer" calls ones faith into question. Nothing has changed really I suppose, the prophets of the Old Testament were ridiculed and murdered also.

I've got a supply of blessed candles and holy water myself. I light one of the candles from time to time during special times during the year. Like that old saying "I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it."

Good thing they didn't think the guy was a nut and dismiss him. And maybe we, like the people of Ninive, should be doing penance and maybe God will have mercy on us also.

I was just at TAN books website, they have a book on (now) Venerable Anna-Maria Taigi, entitled 'Wife, Mother & Mystic', it mentions that she had visions and foretold the future for over 40 years. That she counciled Cardinals and Popes and that her body is incorrupt.

The Catholic Encyclopedia has an entry on her that says she was blessed with "extraordinary" gifts from God, seeing the future one of them.

Here's an excerpt from a book I have about her: "She touched the sick and they were cured; she warned others of their approaching end, and they died holy deaths. She endured great austerities for the souls in purgatory, and the souls, once set free, came to thank her...He (God) gives her knowledge of the past, present and future. She declares that Pius VII will return. She sees even beyond the reign of Pius IX...

Pretty remarkable. I'll take her word for something.

Perhaps people may panic if they read some of this stuff. Perhaps that is best. I'd rather panic now, and do something about it, like the people of Ninive, than do nothing and really panic when it happens and then its too late.

I'm curious about your thoughts on Jesus's words to St. Faustina in her diary, which are along the same lines as Ven. Taigis.

Oh, almost forgot, I understand that many of those nuclear plants in Russia, which should have been dismantled, now sit idle with the radioactive material just sitting there, loosely guarded, easy pickings for anyone who wants to come along and take some of it to make nuclear weapons.

I also understand that if you want something in Russia, whether it be weapons, nuclear materials, whatever it may be, if you have enough money you can obtain it.

It all has me reminded of the prophetic dream of St. John Bosco in 1862, where peace in the world would come only after a fierce battle in which the Pope would triumph by anchoring our Church to the secure pillars of the Eucharist and devotion to Mary.

I have read many of these messages myself. I think all of the words collected pale, in comparison, to one word spoken by Jesus.

I was just attempting to introduce a note of caution as it was my personal opinion the proliferation of publicising these messages, appartitions etc tends to unsettle folks.

We are told my H.M. Church to, often, meditate upon the Four Last Things. Many of these messages tend to isolate horror apart from thoughts of Heaven.

The Mass is the perfect prayer of the Church and it does not spend inordinate time trying to inculcate fire and brimstone within us. It is both a Sacrifice and a Banquet. Let's keep both in mind and not exaggerate one to the exclusion of the other.

Jesus left us all that is necessary for Salvation and many of these "messages" tend to make folks anxious and anxiety does not add one second to our lives, or the enjoyment of our lives.

This is true. The Eucharist and a renewed respect and reverence is one of things mentioned in this apparition, however. No one can argue that point at all.

I don't know. Don't you think Satan would benefit more if he attacked people of weak faith,thus sending out the message the God "won't" help you? Which would help disolve the lax faith of a person even more.

I don't know about the weak people. Satan already has them.

I agree with you that the Mass is the perfect prayer of the Church. What a great gift Jesus has given us. I wonder if that study is true that only roughly 30-35% of Catholics really believe that Jesus is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. That is scary.

I agree also that some 'gloom and doom' prophecies are very unsettling. Jesus spoke often of the fires of Gahenna (sp?) where there would be 'wailing and nashing of teeth.' I suppose there are many unsettling/unpleasant references in scripture also. I think that our society today has been so 'protestantized' that all we think about is the "health and wealth" Jesus. For instance, I know a woman down the street who thought it was OK to shack up with a man, in front of her kids. She said she'd still go to heaven, she'd "just have a few less jewels in her crown" when she gets there. Now thats scary to me.

I think we need a big wake up call in this country. I think God sends these saints with these messages for precisely that reason. At Fatima Our Lady showed the three children hell, and people falling into hell "like snowflakes", if I remember correctly so many were going to hell because no one was doing penance for the conversion of sinners.

I agree with you about the Mass, yet, I don't think we can totally disregard these warnings either, maybe a good balance is what we need. But, that's just my opinion.
