The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.

Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams

Jesus wants to let them know that it is REALLY him, not a familiar spirit, or a spirit pretending to be him. I don't know what a spiritual body looks like. Do you?

No amount of reasoning or explanation will remove the words of Christ. His own words show His resurrection was a physical resurrection.

Luke 24:39 See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself! Feel and handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have.

Also, my personal experience with spiritual bodies is irrelevant since Christ also addressed that in this very Scripture.

Christians should never ignore the two natures of Jesus. He was fully God and fully human at the same time.

The body that Adam & Eve had in the Garden of Eden, was not the same substance after the fall.

They received a body lasting only for a time, not eternal according to the kingdom they were relegated.

Had not the body been altered they would have disintegrated remember they were created perfect!

Ponder this
1-Because they were innocent they had no assurance (warranty Official authorization, sanction, or warrant.)

2-Because they had no knowledge or experience only instruction and nothing to compare or understand. They knew no guile.

They were like babes in the wilderness!

Now one can look at this like a journey to stumble and fall as one learn about this temporal planet.

Originally when A&E were in the garden of Eden they were in a perfect garden and state as in spiritual and were able to see God, when they fell they aquired the eyes and body of a natural man. They could no longer remain in their in that elevated state of perfect!

1- for fear they would ALSO eat from the of life and death, and would forever be caught in a eternal state never to correct their transgressions.

The resurrected body will have no soul/blood, right?

Luk 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see;for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Notice Jesus did not say blood. Eternal life will not be dependent on a beating heart

Your comments are irrelevant to the topic of a physical resurrection of Christ.

1Co 15:50 And I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does corruption inherit incorruption.

You need to consider that Jesus was flesh and bone not flesh and blood. The apostles well knew that when they wrote that flesh and BLOOD can not inherit the kingdom..he was talking about unregenerate men

The resurrected Jesus Christ CAN NOT be made out of created material. He is the one that created all matter, both seen and unseen.

Including His first incarnation..are you saying that there is something that God can not do ? Are you saying that God is INCAPABLE of recreating the human body in a new way that will be physical and spiritual?

The substance he is made out of has to be eternal stuff, the same stuff as God the father, stuff that is not of this world. He must be made of this stuff or he is no longer God or part of the Godhead. Do you understand?

Do you understand that it was SIN that caused physical death and that we will be raised incorruptible (unable to sin) . There will be no more sin or death .

You place large limits on the sovereignty of God in creation. I am sure He is glad for your input *grin*

Apple was, and probably still is, a superior product but Steve Jobs refused to license it's technology (except for one short lived adventure - too little and too late).

Apple is like a tank that just keeps going. There are 15 year old Macs still puffing along. . There is no question in my mind they are far superior to PC especially the now OS which is linix based . My computer flies on it .We are a very small share of the market. Price has alot to do with it I suspect. (I covet the power book..it has the power of the G4 and does all the tricks..it is one GREAT machine )Starting at about $1300 for the 12 inch..too rich for my blood right now as i want the 15in..I will not tell you that price:>)

They are not a poor mans computer..but if you consider the low maintenance and long life in the long run they are a better buy IMHO

Luke 24
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Jesus resurrected immortal body is of Flesh and Bone!

1 Cor.15
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not ALL sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.,/u>

55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

The MAC vs WinDOZE debate is a neverending story all it's own. Without disagreeing with Reg necessarily, I would point out that you can't get a BMW built by anyone else either, and although they might have an even smaller share of their market than Apple enjoys, and they too are more expensive, they seem to be doing OK.

With OS X, It's not unusual for weeks and months to go by without a crash, and it is enjoying a lot of fresh blood in the application development arena because of its Unix underpinnings.

My son just bought himself a 15" Titanium (with matching iPod) to take off to college. I am quite jealous, but just dropped a PowerLogix G4 upgrade card into my trusty G3 Series powerbook and that will hold me for now (I do want that new G5 though).

That's because Steve (Super Snot) Jobs has a monopoly on the product and can keep the price where he wants it to be. 5% of the market is enough for him.

BTW, hardware is hardware and a quality pc will last just as long as an Apple. The superiority of Apple was always the Operating System. Us poor PC users (for the most part) have to put up with Bill Gates crap.

I have only bought one PC in my life, this last one and it was a mistake. When My machine was destroyed by lightning I panicked and went right out and bought one. If I was patient enough to take a week or so I could have bought a barebones and components on EBAY and had twice the computer for the money.

IOW, Apple may well be a better product but not better enough for the average user to justify the price and application availability limits.

One more thing. I am still somewhat of a hardware freak. I still like to have the latest and greatest processor and it doesn't matter that what I do doesn't begin to stretch the capability of the product. It is like the nut who buys a Viper and only uses it to go to the grocery store.

Safari is final release now. You can get it through software update. I love the tabs feature. I have set up workgroups in the top bar so I can just switch webpages as needed in whatever I am doing (working, freeping, etc.)

Mine is 4 years old..I have only had to replace the sound card ..thats it.

I expect this to plug along till I am too senile to use it anymore..THAT is why I really want that power book. I will be traveling alot in the next few years , so I can bring it with me..

I consider it part of my kids inheritance ..I figure both of them will still be going when the grandkids get married..:>)

BTW I only paid $900 for my Mac NEW ..a smart shopper can have her cake and eat it too...

Sure, if you are satisfied with 5% of the market. I won't argue WinDOZE with you. It is generally bloated crap. What else can I say. I still may end up with Linnux and run Lindows just for the fun of it.

With OS X, It's not unusual for weeks and months to go by without a crash, and it is enjoying a lot of fresh blood in the application development arena because of its Unix underpinnings.

I have run an Operating System for several years that never crashed. (Of course it was single purpose and not very sophisticated.)

Did someone say FAST?

Did someone say FASTER!

SPECfp_rate_base2000
Single Pentium 4 3.06GHz = 13.6
Dual Xeon 3.06GHz = 16.7
Dual PowerPC G5 2GHz = 15.7
Single Opteron 1.8GHz = 13.0
Dual Opteron 1.4GHz = 21.0
Dual Opteron 1.8GHz = 24.7

SPECint_rate_base2000
Single Pentium 4 3.06GHz = 13.8
Dual Xeon 3.06GHz = 21.7
Dual PowerPC G5 2GHz = 17.2
Single Opteron 1.8GHz = 12.7
Dual Opteron 1.4GHz = 20.0
Dual Opteron 1.8GHz = 25.0

Hehe, Dual Opteron got some major ownage.

That P4 3.06GHz is only 533MHz FSB version with i850 chipset (RAMBUS). The newer 800MHz FSB P4 with i875 (Dual Channel PC3200) is faster, but the scores weren't available yet at SPECbench.

(Unashamedly copied from GOOGLE.)

Now are you ready to quit with the "upsmanship game".

You are comparing stuff that barely equals a chip built by DEC more than 10 years ago. The ALPHA chip!
