The Vatican's “speech of inclusiveness and tolerance is not true, it is ideological and selective,” Bishop Athanasius Schneider told AdVaticanum.com following the Vatican’s ban on the Summorum Pontificum pilgrimage procession entering St. Peter’s Basilica today.
Schneider criticized the contradiction between the Church’s promotion of synodality and its exclusion of traditional Catholics.
“A group of Catholics who are in good standing and recognize the Pope, pray for the Pope, for the bishops — exactly this group was banned,” he said.
Schneider suggested that accusations of rejecting Vatican II are being used as a pretext to exclude traditional Catholics. “I think it could be a pretext also that they allegedly reject the Second Vatican Council. This is not the case at all.”
He called the ban “very regrettable” and urged that justice be restored to traditional Catholics worldwide, particularly the growing number of young people attached to the ancient liturgy.

Ebb tide, moving a scheduled pilgrimage Mass to another historic Roman basilica like St. Mary Major is a matter of administrative scheduling and liturgical discipline, not an imaginary decree banning traditional Catholics from the Eternal City.
Bishop Schneider lamenting standard regulatory oversight is par for the course, but trying to spin normal curial governance into a grand persecution narrative is just more routine grievance theater.

Requests to celebrate the TLM on this particular date were made in December 2025, and April and June of this year.
The organizers did not receive any response (which was in the negative) until September 2026.
At that time, they still had permission to process inside the basilica.
That permission held until the very day of the scheduled procession, when it was revoked. A wall, barring entry, was even erected:
All this B.S. about "scheduling conflicts" is a typical red herring of the arch-modernist/liar on this forum.
Correction: the permission was revoked the day before the scheduled procession.
The Vatican supports illegal aliens, Muslims and Pagan Indians. But not TLM Catholics!
