I feel compelled to write and pray about what America is doing with and for Israel now. Perhaps like Cyrus, Trump seems to be laying the ground work for a time of peace and security for Israel. The number one enemy of Israel is being dismantled. Previous enemies seem to being forced to side with Israel as President Trumps plans to bring stability to the volatile Arab Territories. I recall touring the Temple mount and lingering around the Eastern Gate, which is blocked up and gated with a Muslim guarding the area as if to keep someone from trying to sneak Jesus in, for they know the prophecy of him returning and entering through the Eastern Gate. They also put lots of graves and tombs on the outside of that gate, to prevent a Rabi walking thru there. Sounds crazy but it is true. With the elections up in the air, I still worry that Trumps grand scheme will fail. So far the Lord has been very gracious to us in this armed conflict. I also believe this time of safety for Israel will not happen to the Jews living comfortably elsewhere, they will be forced back to Israel as you see Antisemitism rising everywhere, in places you never thought possible. So to us Christians, it should be a great sign of the Lord's return.

With all that said, I would like to lift up President Trump and our brother nation Israel for success in resolving this complicated situation. Lord Jesus, we ask for success for the military in removing all the terrorist proxies of Iran and the IRGC, also for the Iranian people who have suffered many years and many lives from this nations reign of terror.

Lord Jesus we pray for fair and honest elections and a press that would stop distorting and lying to the public.

May the churches in America once again be the wall of prayer covering this nation.

In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

Repose of Venerable Sergius the Wonderworker, Abbot of Radonezh

Troparion

Athlete of virtues, / true warrior of Christ God, / you struggled mightily against the passions in this temporal life; / in psalmody, vigils, and fasting, you were an example to your disciples; / therefore, the most Holy Spirit dwelt in you, / and you were radiantly adorned by His activity. / Since you possess boldness before the Holy Trinity, / remember the flock which you gathered wisely, / and do not forget to visit your children as you promised, O Venerable Sergius our Father.

Troparion

In the purity of your life, you combined the stream of your tears with later ascetical contests of faith, / thereby exuding a spiritual font, O Venerable Sergius, / in which you wash the spiritual and bodily impurity of all those who lovingly revere your memory. / Therefore, we your children cry out to you: “O Father, pray to the Holy Trinity for our souls.”

Kontakion

Wounded by love for Christ, O venerable one, and following Him with unwavering desire, / you despised all carnal pleasures, and as the sun, you shone upon the land of your birth. / Therefore, Christ has enriched you with the gift of working miracles. / Remember us who honor your most illustrious memory, / that we may call to you: “Rejoice, O divinely-wise Sergius.”
