You have said, “The evil men bow before the good, and the wicked [stand suppliantly] at the gates of the [uncompromisingly] righteous.” (Pr. 14:19) This is what we yearn for in our UNITED States Government from Federal to State to local. We pray for the good men and women that You have moved into positions of authority to be given courage, strength and boldness. We know You put skill, wisdom and an inner compass of righteousness in them. “The Wisdom [godly Wisdom, which is comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God] of the prudent is to understand his way, but the folly of [self-confident] fools is to deceive.“ We see that the self-confident fools have deceived and bullied them. You can make that stop.
We speak out to them, “This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.”
We entrust each one to You, knowing You are able to cause them to be a success at the assignment You have given them. Thank You, Father, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Uprightness and right standing with God (moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation) elevate a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.

Lord, we pray that these officials will not be corrupted, intimidated or discouraged. Give them strength in You.
We pray they will be effective at setting us upright. Let us return to our Christian heritage.
Amen Lord Jesus, we and our government certainly need that. May the people of Iran be encouraged and given assistance in overturning their corrupt governmnet.
