Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar appointed veteran diplomat George Deek to a newly created role as special envoy to the Christian world, in a move “intended to deepen Israel’s ties with Christian communities around the world,” amid a series of damaging scandals...
Deek, who most recently served as Israel’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, was the country’s first Christian ambassador and is a member of the Arab Christian community in Jaffa...
Despite Israel’s protestations that it values relations with the Christian world, recent months have seen a string of embarrassing scandals and attacks on Christians that have strained Israel’s relations with the Christian community, and highlighted a lack of clear policy.
This was brought into sharp focus when Latin Patriarch Pierbattista Pizzaballa and other senior clergy were barred by police from Palm Sunday worship at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre due to wartime restrictions...
An Israel Defense Forces soldier was photographed smashing a statue of Jesus with a sledgehammer in the southern Lebanon village of Debel, an act that drew widespread condemnation...
A 2024 Annual Report by the Rossing Center for Education and Dialogue documented 111 reported cases of attacks against Christians, including 46 physical attacks, 35 attacks against church properties, and 13 cases of harassment.
According to the report, most perpetrators appear to belong to the ultra-Orthodox and national-religious communities...

I thought their envoy was the boy that kept sending me AIPAC texts.
I meant to say “bot,” but “boy” works, too.
Thank you. Very interesting.
The Times of Israel, a left wing news source.
Spinning the anti-Netanyahu line as best they can for you, Condi.
This article is two months old. Look, we’ve all noticed. You’re here every waking hour, flooding this forum with your replacement theology and anti Israel articles and opinions like it’s your personal pulpit. At this point it’s not discussion, it’s performance art. You don’t reply to people, you lecture them, and honestly, most of us have stopped reading. If you actually cared about your beliefs, you’d let them breathe instead of suffocating everyone else with them. Take a break, touch grass, and maybe try asking a question for once instead of just vomiting up articles 24/7.
The Times of Israel reported on a string of embarrassing scandals and
attacks on Christians that have strained Israel’s relations with Christians:
<><>Israel barred the Latin Patriarch and other senior clergy from Palm Sunday worship at Christian’s sacrosanct Church of the Holy Sepulchre, sacred to Catholics, Greek Orthodox and Armenian Apostolic Christians.
<><>An Israeli soldier was caught in the act of sledge-hammering a crucifix of Jesus in a backyard shrine in Christian Lebanon that drew global condemnation.
<><>A Report by the Rossing Center for Education and Dialogue documented 111 reported cases of Israeli attacks against Christians,
<><>The Israeli attacks included 46 physical attacks, 35 attacks against church properties, bombings of Christian churches and 13 cases of harassment of Christians.
Israel, however, lays the blame for Christian attacks on Israel’s ultra-Orthodox and other Jewish religious communities, as well as actions by Jewish settlers in occupied territories lying in wait to grab land for Israel that is populated by Christians.
Thx for posting.
You and Condi should get a room
Based on reports up to mid-2026, there is a documented rise in harassment and physical attacks against Christians by a segment of Israeli society, specifically involving ultra-Orthodox Jews, religious nationalists, and settlers in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
Reports indicate increased anti-Christian acts, including spitting on clergy, vandalism of churches, and damage to cemeteries, particularly in the Old City of Jerusalem.
Israel says the attacks are mostly attributed to extremist ultra-Orthodox Jews and religious nationalists. Some extremist figures downplay or justify this behavior as an “ancient custom.”
There is a perceived lack of adequate response from Israeli authorities, with some Christian leaders complaining that Israeli police often do not act against perpetrators.
The rise in violence is likely linked to the politics in Israel and its continued activities in Gaza.
A significant percentage of young Christians in the region have reported feeling unsafe and are considering emigration due to this harassment.
The Israeli hostility is increasing in certain areas like East Jerusalem; the trend is a major concern for local churches.
You stupid Christian harasser.
When are due back at the hospital?
So it's the Jews but not the Jews.
He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups.
Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God... -
~ Saint Paul (Ephesians 2:14-16)
Why you are triggered by Israel’s efforts to smooth things over with Christians beats me. Peace! 🕊️
Thank you so much x, for sharing that story of Ben Dunkelman. Wow.
The Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial in Jerusalem honors “Righteous Gentiles” who defied their governments to help Jews in the Holocaust. But I never thought there can be another angle: Jews who refused to kill Arabs carte blanche during the settlement of Israel. Intense times indeed.
I think back to John 1:46 in the Bible when Jesus was mentioned to Nathanael for the first time. He responded by asking:
“Nazareth!” exclaimed Nathanael. “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” “Come and see for yourself,” Philip replied.
God bless Nazareth. And prayers for fullness of peace between Jews and Gentiles in the region.
You’re welcome Liz. :)
This report was pretty accurate and I’m surprised that I missed it. I would have thought you’d be pleased with Israel’s efforts to make amends with Christians.
It always struck me what a negative influence Huckabee has been on Christian-Jewish relations in the region as the US envoy.
