So Solomon finished building the Lord’s Temple and the king’s palace. Solomon did everything that he had planned to do in building a house for the Lord and for himself. Then the Lord appeared to Solomon at night and said to him,“Solomon, I have heard your prayer, and I have chosen this place for Myself to be a house for sacrifices. When I close the sky so that there is no rain, or command the locusts to destroy the land, or send sicknesses to My people and if My people who are called by My name become humble and pray, and look for Me, and turn away from their evil ways, then I will hear them from heaven. I will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Now, My eyes are open, and My ears will pay attention to the prayers prayed in this place. I have chosen this Temple, and I have made it a holy place. So, I will be honored there forever. I will watch over it and think of it always. You must serve Me with a pure and honest heart, just as your father David did. You must obey My laws and do everything that I commanded you. If you obey all I have commanded, and if you obey My laws and rules, then I will make you a strong king and your kingdom will be great. That is the agreement I made with David your father when I told him that Israel would always be ruled by one of his descendants.
“But if you don’t obey My laws and commands that I gave you, and if you worship other gods and serve them, then I will take the Israelites out from My land that I gave them. And I will leave this Temple that I have made holy for My name. I will make this Temple something that all the nations will speak evil about.
Everyone who sees it will be amazed. They will ask, ‘Why did the Lord do this terrible thing to this land and to this temple?’ People will say, ‘This happened because they left the Lord, the God of their ancestors. He brought them out of Egypt, but they decided to follow other gods. They began to worship and to serve those gods. That is why He caused all these bad things to happen to them.’” (2 Chronicles 11-22 ERV).
FATHER GOD,
Thank You President Trump read 2 Chronicles 7:11-22 for “America Reads the Bible”, the week-long Bible reading event held in tandem with the celebration of America's 250th anniversary. It is a privilege and a blessing for Americans to have the freedom to read the Bible aloud in the public square. Throughout the world, including Canada and Great Britain, Christians face persecution for sharing their faith openly.
On the 250th Anniversary of America, President Trump has chosen where he stands – not only by reading Scripture publicly, but also by rededicating our nation to God on May 17th.
A nation that honors God stands. A nation that rejects Him falls. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord (Psalm 33:12).
LORD, may HOLY SPIRIT fill President Trump with every spiritual gift that is needed for him to Make America Great Again. May he give You the glory for the victories that You grant him, and may he look to You for wisdom and knowledge.
Thank You President Trump’s advisors and cabinet members pray before they deliberate on policies and issues facing our nation. Bless them and increase their influence.
Thank You for protecting President Trump and his inner circle of influence from enemies within and without who desire their demise. Send Your warrior angels to encamp around them 24/7. Expose the identities and plans of those who want to bring our nation down. Bring them to justice. Remove them from places of authority.
Protect Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Vice President Vance, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and all who make key decisions in keeping our nation safe. Give them wisdom and knowledge in negotiating with the leaders of Iran, China, Russia, the Middle East, and countries who are considered to be allies, but have not stepped up when needed. May Your will be done in these perilous times.
May Senator Thune bring the Save America Act to the floor to be voted upon with a simple majority. Change the hearts of bitter Republican legislators who were defeated in the recent primaries. Cause them to put the best interests of America before their revenge.
Protect us from the wild weather patterns, out-of-control fires, floods, and chemtrails. Cleanse our air, water, and ground. Put a halt to Bill Gates’ evil plans to alter the DNA of insects, animals, and plants. Stop the W.H.O. from pushing questionable vaccines and pandemics. May John Kennedy, Jr. implement healthy policies regarding the food we eat and the medicines we take.
Protect our military men and women, the police, firemen, and first responders. Keep them from falling into the traps of domestic enemies. May every evil plan against them fail.
Help us put aside time to read Your Word, meditate on You greatness, and draw close to You. You are our everything. Without You we can do nothing at all.
