I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (1 Timothy 2:1-2) Religion Forum threads labeled [Prayer] are closed to debate of any kind.
We praise You that Your Word has been read publicly and out loud for a whole week in Washington D.C. Thank You that our president participated in the reading. Today will be the last day of the reading. Lord, this is a wonderful thing. It’s never been done before. I’m excited because I’m reminded that Your Word proclaims this promise:
“So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)
May over-abounding fruit come from this public reading of Your Word, Lord. I pray that all who read, and all who hear, will be convicted to obey Your commandments. America has become a lawless society. But I cling to this promise:
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:11)
Father, we lift up prayers for our president, his family, his cabinet members and their families, our members of Congress, our national and local lawmakers and law keepers. Our military – especially those in harms way during the Iran conflict. Protect and guide them all, Father.
And humble us all to fear You with a holy fear. And cause us to seek Your Word for all decisions and guidance. Yes, we want America to be great again, but better yet, we pray for America to be godly again – by obeying Your will – Your commandments. Because blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord – our Almighty, powerful Heavenly Father. May we all be humble before You. May we seek Your Face and Your Will and Your Ways – Your Holy Shabbat and Your Appointed Times. Not a religion, a denomination, a teacher, or a preacher. You promised that You would lead us to TRUTH if we seek You with our whole hearts.
We pray for the conflict between Iran and Israel / America to end. Bring peace, Lord. Real, lasting peace. And we pray for Israel to return to Torah – for obedience to Your commandments provides a shield and a fortress. Many (like us) have thrown the Torah behind their backs, rejecting Your Will and Your Ways. Convict and restore, Father.
This week, it appears that many of our prayers about the election fraud, and the treasonous acts of past regimes will be answered. The DOJ is taking action – bringing indictments. Please, Lord, let it be swift and soon. Restore integrity, honesty, and confidence in America’s leadership.
Ultimately, all is in Your hands. You give and You take away. We have suffered as a country for the sins we committed and/or allowed. Restore us, oh Lord to godliness and obedience to Your laws.
May You be pleased with our rest on Your holy Shabbat. I pray You will bless all intercessors here on this prayer vigil. Bless them and keep them. Cause Your face to shine upon them and be gracious to them. Lift up Your face upon them and grant them Your peace.
