I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
LIFE IS FRAGILE . . . HANDLE IT WITH PRAYER!
(Psalm 139) Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I get up; You understand my thought from far away. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, Lord, You know it all. You have encircled me behind and in front, and placed Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high, I cannot comprehend it.
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take up the wings of the dawn, if I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will take hold of me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around me will be night,” even darkness is not dark to You, and the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You.
For You created my innermost parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, and skillfully formed in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my formless substance; and in Your book were written all the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them.
How precious also are Your thoughts for me, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.
If only You would put the wicked to death, God; Leave me, you men of bloodshed. For they speak against You wickedly, and Your enemies take Your name in vain. Do I not hate those who hate You, Lord? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? I hate them with the utmost hatred; They have become my enemies.
Search me, God, and know my heart; Put me to the test and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there is any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.
Heavenly Father, Our Ominiscent, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent God . . .All-Knowing, Ever-Present, All-Powerful Master of All,
We come before You in the Name of Jesus Christ, Your Only Begotten Son who gave His Life as a Ransom for everyone. Have Your Way with our country, our government and leaders, our military, churches, families, businesses, education systems, health cares systems, legal system, borders, entertainment, our information outlets . . . .everything Lord. Help us see Your Presence in all things that we may seek Your Guidance and follow Your Direction. . .all the while giving You all Honor and Glory.
You have given us explicit signs to watch for regarding end times. Please provide us the persons, the passion, Your Words and Your Way to evangelize to this lost and dying worldbefore Your return. May you find us putting missions (local, home, state and foreign) on the front burner instead of on the back burner.
We ask for Your Divine Protection not only for President Trump and his Administration but all those who are placing their lives in harm’s way in these dangerous and perilous times. Please expose evey hidden plan of the enemy, guarding our hearts, minds, and souls against the enemy’s lies.
We pray the Church will be Your Church . . .not in any way compromising the Truth of Your Word. Many today do not have the understanding of what it means to have a personal realtionship with You. Open hearts and minds to be guided, shaped, and receptive to Your Presence and Wisdom.
We love You, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit . . .all in One. Thank You for hearing our prayer. In the Precious Name of Jesus, Amen.

.........The Artos is a loaf of leavened bread impressed before baking with a seal of an icon of the Resurrection that is blessed during the Paschal Vigil. This seal symbolizes the physical presence of the Resurrected Christ among the Apostles. This Artos is kept in the church during Bright Week, and may be placed either in the nave next to the Icon of the Resurrection, in front of the Icon of Christ on the Iconostasis, or in front of the Holy Doors. Throughout the week, whenever anyone enters the church, he or she kisses the Artos, symbolically greeting the resurrected Christ.......
The Artos is supposed to be cut and distributed after Divine Liturgy on Bright Saturday. However, I have never heard of any Divine Liturgy on Bright Saturday! After Liturgy on the following day, Thomas Sunday, my Priests have said the prayers over the Artos, cut it, and distributed it. Then we took the pieces, and ate some of it in Church and some at home. May it bring blessings and health to all who partake of it! Amen!!

1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
