🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(3/15/26)[Prayer]

A New Study For A New Year: Personalities
Genesis 43:1-14
43 And the famine was sore in the land.
2 And it came to pass, when they had eaten up the corn which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said unto them, Go again, buy us a little food.
3 And Judah spake unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.
4 If thou wilt send our brother with us, we will go down and buy thee food:
5 But if thou wilt not send him, we will not go down: for the man said unto us, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.
6 And Israel said, Wherefore dealt ye so ill with me, as to tell the man whether ye had yet a brother?
7 And they said, The man asked us straitly of our state, and of our kindred, saying, Is your father yet alive? have ye another brother? and we told him according to the tenor of these words: could we certainly know that he would say, Bring your brother down?
8 And Judah said unto Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and thou, and also our little ones.
9 I will be surety for him; of my hand shalt thou require him: if I bring him not unto thee, and set him before thee, then let me bear the blame for ever:
10 For except we had lingered, surely now we had returned this second time.
11 And their father Israel said unto them, If it must be so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:
12 And take double money in your hand; and the money that was brought again in the mouth of your sacks, carry it again in your hand; peradventure it was an oversight:
13 Take also your brother, and arise, go again unto the man:
14 And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Oh LORD,
You are Forever Holy and Righteous.
How Excellent is Your Name!
It is You Who Stretched out the Heavens,
And it is You Who laid the Foundations of the Earth.
You Alone Are Worthy of Praise,
and You Alone Are The One True God.
Ancient of Days,
Rock of Ages,
Eternal,
and Almighty,
We Can Do Nothing But Fall On Our Faces
Before You in Endless Worship and Thanksgiving!
We Thank You For Your Mighty,
Exquisite,
Holy,
and Immutable Word!
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”

One day many years ago, Dad called Mom from work and said:
"Set nine more places for dinner, honey, We're having guests all the way from IRAN."
Out of the freezer came two family-sized packages of Chicken Breasts and several boxes of "Shake and Bake". A tub of Instant Mashed Potatoes and a whole bag of frozen String Beans completed the meal.
Dad came home with six Iranian Scientists and three of them brought their wives. They were all young, good-looking, very polite, and dressed like normal people. The Shah of Iran had sent them to Boston MA, to learn how to design a modern telephone system for the Capital City of Tehran. Somehow, Dad was the one assigned to show them around town.
They enjoyed Mom's "Shake and Bake" Chicken so much that the wives asked her fror the Recipe. They were delighted that such savory coating was available in a box, already mixed! (We six kids had to struggle to suppress our mirth over this hilarity!)
The following day, Dad took the Scientists and their Wives around Boston to see the sights. They were amazed at the amount of Green Space (the Arborway, Jamaica Pond, The Arnold Arboretum, The Fenway, The Esplanade, Boston Common, etc), and kept commenting about what a BEAUTIFUL and CLEAN city Boston was. (This elicited more snickers when we were told that. We knew that the Charles River was so polluted that you would get a horrible skin rash if you fell in).
The Scientists and their Wives went home with wondrous tales of America, of its Beauty, Abundance, Hospitality, Cleanliness, and "Shake and Bake".
A few weeks later, a heavy package arrived at our door from Tehran. It was ten pounds of PISTACHIO NUTS, an gift from our Guests. I found out later from an Iranian Customer of mine that Pistachio Nuts were considered a Magnificent Gift, symbolizing Good Health, Happiness, and Profound Gratitude.
My sisters and I still love Pistachio Nuts, and every time we eat them we reminisce about the Iranian Scientists and their Wives. I shudder to think of what became of them in 1979.
Jacob was in a bind. He really needed his sons to go back to Egypt and get more grain, but there were two things holding them back. One was the apparently hostile Egyptian Ruler's demand that they bring Benjamin. The other thing was the money in the sacks... what was up with that? The whole ordeal was becoming a DISASTER. Jacob loads up a camel with gifts for the Egyptian Ruler, most notably, Pistachio Nuts. Evidently they meant the same thing in the Middle East back then as they do now.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
