Since the fall in Genesis 3, when Adam and Eve disobeyed the Lord’s one command, God has been on a mission to redeem what has fallen. The Lord has been fighting ever since the fall to win us back to Him.
Through the Scriptures God has revealed to us His blueprint on how He intends to fulfill His ultimate plan of redemption for all creation.
The book of Genesis defines early on how God plans to redeem all that has fallen. To redeem all that has been lost God chose a man, Abraham, who would be a father to a people called the nation of Israel. Through Abraham and his descendants God promised, “in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 12:3). This promise would eventually be fulfilled through one of Abraham’s descendants.
In the Old Testament God used the nation of Israel as His representatives on Earth to display His holiness through the Law He gave at Sinai, and that they were to live out the Law in the land He promised to them, Israel. God considered the sons of Israel His “kingdom of priests” because they were to proclaim His Word, intercede on behalf of the nations, and introduce people to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and His redemptive plan through atonement.
As you continue to read through the Old Testament you find that the broad definition of God’s plan of redemption in Genesis 12 becomes even more elucidated as He continues to reveal His plan to Israel. By the end of the Old Testament you understand that God is sending a future King to the Israelites (2 Samuel 7:13), who is also God’s Son (2 Samuel 7:14).

Every person on Earth, is on Gods plan for redemption. Israel the nation, I doubt it. The persons in Israel, and Gaza are on also on his redemption list. If they are called, and answer, they are part of his plan.
Everyone is part of God’s plan
It’s interesting because Luke 21:24 tells us that Jerusalem will remain under foot of the Gentiles until the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled (understood contextually to refer to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ at His second coming). This suggests that Jerusalem is *right now* still trodden down of the Gentiles at the present time, which in turn suggests that the Ashkenazi/Sephardi ruling caste in the state of Israel right now is not actually descended from the ancient Israelites.
Jeremiah 33 sounds like an ironclad “yes” to the question:
19 And the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah, saying,
20 Thus saith the Lord; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
21 Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.
23 Moreover the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying,
24 Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the Lord hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
25 Thus saith the Lord; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;
26 Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
“And God said Israel was the “apple of His eye”.”
They got cancelled twice. Was is the operative word.
Deuteronomy 14:2 says yes
Everyone seems so eager to claim that God doesn’t care about Israel anymore. That God changed his mind when he said Israel will be an eternal possession of Abraham’s descendants. If God is so wish-washy in his decisions, then how can they even claim God still cares about them as Christians?
Gobbledigook. Israel has the bomb. More than one. If it comes to using it I got one thing to say.
Problem solved.
Jerusalem
Jerusalem
What exactly did Jesus Christ mean by JERUSALEM in Luke 21:20-24?
AND JERUSALEM IN Zechariah 14:2-4:8:10:11-17 and Zech 14:20-21?
And also in:
The desolating sacrilege - Matthew 24:15
JUDEA - Matthew 24:16 Luke 21:21
Could he have been referring to the body of Christ?
God’s plan for redemption was completed two millenia ago.
The first couple pages of Scripture deal with creation and the fall.
The whole rest of the Bible deals with God trying to woo mankind back to Him.
It goes to show what’s really important to Him.
That's interesting.
As regards the gospel, they are enemies for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy. For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.
The true Israel are the heirs of Abraham through faith in Jesus Christ. The State of Israel is a modern secular construction; it is not the Israel of the Bible. The Jews in Israel are part of God’s plan of redemption through the same call to faith as the Gentiles. In Jesus Christ there is no distinction between Jew and Greek.

The Jews before the birth of the church didn't know what the church was.
To them, Jerusalem was Jerusalem. No need for *interpretation* or rationalization to say that Jesus didn't mean what He said.
Yes!
Jesus’ coming and passion and resurrection was a total failure by an impotent God, right?
Israel as the transgressors coming to the fullness of their time is the only reason this world has been allowed 2520 years after the 70 years of Babylonian captivity starting in 606 BC but elongated in the timing to 587 BC by Israels failure to obey Gods Holy Word given to them directly by the Prophet Jeremiah.
We are coasting on the fumes of ages past even now before it all expires. Once Jerusalem is divided following the June 1967 restoration, all world debts will be coming due in the Court of Heaven.
His suggestion is a sneaky way of undermining support for Israel. That this is not God’s chosen people.
“This suggests that Jerusalem is *right now* still trodden down of the Gentiles at the present time, which in turn suggests that the Ashkenazi/Sephardi ruling caste in the state of Israel right now is not actually descended from the ancient Israelites.”
