America Prayer Vigil - 12/31/25 [prayer]

Join with fellow FREEPERS to pray for AMERICA: For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Agri-Business; End to Sex Slavery; Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1 John 5:14)

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 1 JOHN 5:14

Holy and Righteous God and Judge, we are so grateful for Who You are and for Your banner of Truth and Justice. There is only right and wrong in Your Kingdom. We appreciate that.

Father, You have asked us to put You in remembrance of Your Word. Because of Your Spirit living within us, we are agitated by the corruption in our Judicial system and, especially, the way it is regularly an evil obstacle to the progress toward making America Great Again.

When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous (the upright, in right standing with God), but to the evildoers it is dismay, calamity, and ruin.” (Prov. 21:15)

**”Evil men do not understand justice, but they who crave and seek the Lord understand it fully.” Pr. 28:5 **”The poor man and the oppressor meet together—the Lord gives light to the eyes of both.” **“He who walks uprightly shall be safe, but he who willfully goes in double and wrong ways shall fall in one of them (pits).” Prov. 28:18

We pray for those judges used by the enemy. Holy Spirit, convict them of their need for a Savior so that their new spirits will discern truth.

**”You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; nor shall you bear witness at a trial so as to side with a multitude to pervert justice.” Ex. 23:2 ** “He is the Rock, His work is perfect, for all His ways are law and justice. A God of faithfulness without breach or deviation, just and right is He.” Deut. 32:4”

Father, this Word is clear. Thank You for Your vengeance.

** “And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had made, and they stood in awe of him, for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him to do justice.1 Kings 3:28 **“Blessed be the Lord your God, Who delighted in you and set you on the throne of Israel! Because the Lord loved Israel forever, He made you king to execute justice and righteousness.” 1 Kings 10:9 ** “Or to governors as sent by him to bring vengeance (punishment, justice) to those who do wrong and to encourage those who do good service.” 1 Peter 2:14.

Father, we pray for judges like these because You love us.

We notice that You intervened in a mighty way with Pilate’s wife: **“Also, while he was seated on the judgment bench, his wife sent him a message, saying, "Have nothing to do with that just and upright Man, for I have had a painful experience today in a dream because of Him.” Matt. 27:19

We ask You for dreams and visions for those making wrong decisions.

“Let true lovers break out in praise, sing out from wherever they’re sitting, Shout the high praises of God, brandish their swords in the wild sword-dance—A portent of vengeance on the God-defying nations, a signal that punishment’s coming, Their kings chained and hauled off to jail, their leaders behind bars for good, The judgment on them carried out to the letter —and all who love God in the seat of honor! Hallelujah! Ps. 149 MSG

Praying in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Each New year, I look forward to the traditional Wesley Covenant Service to center me. The purpose Wesley’s of the Covenant service is to renew one’s commitment to Christ and the Church. The covenant prayer and service are a precious Methodist contribution of Protestantism liturgy which also is used by other Christian denominations as well. The whole service may include: hymn/s, prayer/s, Scripture lesson/s, sermon, and Holy Communion.

Initial words or “bidding statements” traditionally precede the Covenant Prayer such as:

“Christ has many services to be done.
Some are easy, others are difficult.
Some bring honor, others bring reproach.
Some are suitable to our natural inclinations and temporal interests, others are contrary to both.

Yet, the power to do all these things is given to us in Christ, who strengthens us.”

THE COVENANT PRAYER

I am no longer my own, but thine.
Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt.
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be employed for thee or laid aside for thee,
exalted for thee or brought low for thee.

Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure
and disposal.

And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, thou art mine, and I am thine.
So be it. And let this covenant which I have made on earth,
be ratified in heaven. Amen.

May God continue to Bless each of us and Bless our service for others in, on and through us in 2026.

When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous.

Praying that earthly justice be enacted upon the perpetrators of fraud in Minnesota.

That God remove officials from power in EVERY state, who serve as purveyors of lawlessness.

For the protection of citizen journalists exposing these dark webs of corruption to the public. That the public be awakened and the mainstream media report righteously.

That order be restored to social services meant to help the needy. The renewal of the financial systems of our land. That even what is rendered to Caesar still abide by the principles of God.
