The Sabbath was hallowed at the creation. As ordained for man, it had its origin when “the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy.” Job 38:7. Peace brooded over the world; for earth was in harmony with heaven. “God saw everything that He had made, and, behold, it was very good;” and He rested in the joy of His completed work. Genesis 1:31
All things were created by the Son of God. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God.... All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.” John 1:1-3. And since the Sabbath is a memorial of the work of creation, it is a token of the love and power of Christ.
The Sabbath was embodied in the law given from Sinai; but it was not then first made known as a day of rest. The people of Israel had a knowledge of it before they came to Sinai. On the way thither the Sabbath was kept. When some profaned it, the Lord reproved them, saying, “How long refuse ye to keep My commandments and My laws?” Exodus 16:28.

No other institution which was committed to the Jews tended so fully to distinguish them from surrounding nations as did the Sabbath. God designed that its observance should designate them as His worshipers. It was to be a token of their separation from idolatry, and their connection with the true God. But in order to keep the Sabbath holy, men must themselves be holy. Through faith they must become partakers of the righteousness of Christ. When the command was given to Israel, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy,” the Lord said also to them, “Ye shall be holy men unto Me.” Exodus 20:8; 22:31. Only thus could the Sabbath distinguish Israel as the worshipers of God.
There is so much meaning to the 7th day Sabbath. Ordained by God at creation. Given to man. Bids us rest. Directs to the beauty of nature and creation by our Lord. It commemorates a perfect creation by a perfect God. Jesus the creator. Jesus declaring himself Lord of the Sabbath.
Made known in Eden. Amazing. It’s origin, it’s purpose, It’s meaning. Like Marriage given to man at creation, the 7th day Sabbath is centered in fidelity to God as marriage is fidelity to your spouse.
It is never going away either. It is immortal because we read in Isaiah 66 that we will worship in the new earth, that God is going to recreate after this is all over....after we are finally home.....after the world is sin free.......we will worship him all God’s people.....”From Sabbath unto Sabbath.”
Isn’t that deep. The 7th day Sabbath existed in a sin free world before....at creation. It exists today in a world of sin. And it will exist when the world is free from sin again ........for eternity.

I meant to say when we honor the 7th day Sabbath, we are honoring, recognizing, acknowledging the CREATOR AND HIS CREATION.
No evolution. No Darwinism. No we didn’t evolve from some primordial soup. Some mutated cell over billions of years. We were created by a loving God in 6 literal days. And it was perfect. The exclamation point on this creation is his Sabbath.
The 7th day Sabbath lays evolution and atheism in the dust. The biggest lie in the world is evolution and false religions. The 7th day Sabbath slays both of them!
A power a counterfeit that the world is marveling after who thinks her able to change the law of God.......and evolution. And the 7th day Sabbath reduces both of these lies to ashes. Just as Prophecy said it would. Beautiful!!
In this chapter. the author, Ellen White describes how Jesus healed a man on the Sabbath.
She says Jesus knew exactly what he was doing because the religious leaders had “Barricaded the Sabbath.”
What a term! God gave the Sabbath to mankind as a blessing.....and what does man do? Turn a blessing into a curse. Turn what should have been the best day of the week, into the worse day. The Most miserable day.
Don’t you love what Jesus did ? He restored the Sabbath to it’s true postion, it’s purpose, it’s meaning. He broke down the wall of man made requirements about Sabbath keeping..that “barricaded the Sabbath.”
And in doing so, he exposed their hypocrisy.

How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days.” Matthew 12:10-12.
It’s bizarre to me that people throw the Sabbath out when here Jesus said it is “lawful to do well on the Sabbath days.”
Does that sound like our Lord is throwing out the Sabbath day? Is he abolishing his own commandment? Does it sound like he is telling us to forget the Sabbath day?
Absurd. What is doing is restoring it. He didn’t say....Oh, that old Sabbath, forget about that. I changed my mind on that law. It’s ok to heal and do stuff whatever on that day, it’s just like any other day. No harm no foul.

What he is doing is throwing out the bathwater.......but today, people have thrown out the baby with it. They miss out on the Sabbath blessing that God promises to all who keep it.
Charlie Kirk said it “transformed” his life. That’s what God does. He transforms lives. And even the Sabbath day commandment becomes a blessing...each week. Dr. Timothy Leary in the 60s said LSD could be a sort of blessing....turn on, tune in, drop out.
I don’t need LSD to turn on, tune in, and to drop out.
I have the mighty weekly holy day of God when I can tune OUT of the world....and Really Turn ON to God like no other day.

That is prophecy too. Revelation 12:17 says the Devil makes WAR with those who keep the commandments of God. And in Revelation we actually see the 10 commandments!!

Why is the ark of the covenant and 10 commandments in heaven? Because John’s vision is of the Heavenly Santuary, the Heavenly Temple where JUDGMENT is taking place. And when you have a Judgement you have a LAW. And sin is TRANSGRESSION of God’s holy law.
Those are not 9 commandments John sees. As Arnold Swarzennger said in Pumping Iron......during a heavy workout....”Lets get serious”.....
Revelation 11:19 and I meant to include Revelation 15:5......The ark of the covenant, the tabernacle of the Testimony.....those my friens are the 10 commandments.
God’s holy law. Never tamper with God’s holy things. It’s risky business.

These are wonderful Christian takes on the Sabbath. Unlike the SDA ideas.
I only wish Vespa and other Ellen White followers would stop acting like the Pharisees and see the Sabbath as Jesus did.

And we can know this year Judaism, nor SDA, kept that Sabbath of the 22nd Day of His 2nd month, holy, as Israel was taught in the wilderness.
And looking back on the calendar, it seems Judaism and SDA may have missed the 22nd Day of the 7th month Sabbath.
Two Sabbath days on the 22nd days swung at, and missed.
That first manna from heaven week was profound, that led to the 22nd of the 2nd month.
Its the same 6 work days in between two annual Sabbaths in His 7th month, part of the Feast of Tabernacles.
It’s also the same work week (16-21 days) that began with an empty tomb in Jerusalem in His 1st month.
But rejecting the Passover Lamb as Judaism does, isn’t a path to Truth or remembering the Sabbath.

Sadly the Sabbath has become a modern day NEHUSHTAN (2 Kings 18:4) surpassing faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.

Soon that “IF” becomes more important in that church than faith in Christ.

Christ, the Unleavened Bread (15th) of Sincerity and Truth
Christ, the First Fruits (16th) of those fallen asleep
14th- Israel traveling in wilderness
15th- Israel arrives to wilderness of Sin and complains
16th- manna from heaven begins
14th- 6th Day, Christ finished His work on the 6th Day
15th- 7th Day, Christ rested from all His Work in the tomb
16th- 1st Day, Christ is risen. Empty tomb.
Rejecting Paul’s first importance of the Gospel like our Jewish friends do, isn’t a path that leads to Truth.
It’s almost like your faith is in Rome and Judaism, and not the Passover Lamb.
But your zeal for Rome’s substitute for His Sabbath, Saturn Day, is a great opportunity to share Paul’s first importance of the Gospel.
