Daniel 9:24-27 (Dateline: circa 500 BC)
24 “Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.”
A specific time period of “seventy sevens” or 490 years (70 x 7=490) is given to Daniel for the completion of this prophecy. (Note: Heb. ‘shabua’ simply means seven.) Notice who it is directed to – “your people” – or specifically the Jewish nation (cf. v.16). Notice that it speaks of “your holy city” that is at the epicenter of this prophecy, referring to Jerusalem (cf. v.16). Also, take note that this is clearly referring to a future event that would be understood as the unprecedented culmination of world history as we know it. 25 “Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One (Heb. Messiah), the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty- two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.”
We are commanded (as Daniel was) to “know and understand” the words of this very important prophecy from the Lord. The prophetical launch begins with a certain “decree”: This prophecy of the coming Messiah is both remarkable and extremely precise. There were other orders to rebuild the Temple, but there was only one commandment to restore Jerusalem and its wall. On March 14th, 445 BC, as confirmed by modern archaeology, King Artaxerxes I of Persia issued the commandment to rebuild Jerusalem and specifically included its wall. (See Nehemiah 2:2-9 … the book of Nehemiah records this account of rebuilding the city and its wall.) This portion of Daniel’s prophecy totals 69 ‘weeks’ or sevens (shabua) of years. Chronologically, this totals 173,880 days. The long-awaited Messiah Savior would arrive and publicly be received by His people on this date. On April 1, 32 AD (10 Nissan Heb. calendar), Jesus was declared and proclaimed for the first time in a public setting to be the Messiah… exactly as foretold! 26 “After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.”
Immediately following this fulfillment, the Messiah would be “cut off” (the Heb. karath literally means “executed”). It would appear to be an absolute defeat (i.e., “have nothing”). The “people of the ruler who will come” refers to the Roman Empire and its leaders. In 70 AD, General Titus brought in the armies of Rome and destroyed Jerusalem. The Jewish nation was crushed, and the people were either killed or scattered throughout the world. 27 “He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing [of the temple] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.”
The “He” is the “ruler” of v. 26… it is this ruler (aka, ‘the Antichrist’) who would bring a “covenant” or peace treaty to a reestablished nation of Israel in the last days. This final completion of Daniel’s prophecy is referring to the missing “seven” or 7 years (cf. v.24). This is often spoken of as the “70th week of Daniel.” Notice that this “ruler” is also identified as the “man of lawlessness” (2 Thess. 2:3-4), and he breaks this peace “covenant” midway (after 3.5 years) into this final 7-year period (called the ‘Great Tribulation’). It is at the end of this time (with the completion of Daniel’s prophecy) that Jesus returns to this earth to bring in His “everlasting” peace.

Behold, I come quickly ['suddenly']; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.Revelation 22:7.
JMHO, but then I'm the guy who found that 17 years ago.
Not all has yet been fulfilled.
And Jesus stated ‘TIME’ as in Daniel’s ‘times’ had been shortened, for the very elects sake ... there will be no rupture ... going down in quick time ..
...but I was looking forward to the rupture...
Wear a truss
Says who - you? And with zero Biblical proof?
You clearly aren’t readying your Bible dear, or allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you.
I expect an angry response like you sent me last time as you show your fruit of the spirit :)
Revelation 3:10
Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
Luke 21:36
So keep watch at all times, and pray that you may have the strength to escape all that is about to happen and to stand before the Son of Man.”
2 Peter 2:9
if all this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.
1 Thessalonians 1:9-10
For they themselves report concerning us the kind of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.
Isaiah 26:20-21
Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until the fury has passed by. For behold, the Lord is coming out from his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, and the earth will disclose the blood shed on it and will no more cover its slain. (Good OT verse referencing the Bridegroom protecting His Bride from Wrath).
Sorry to burst your bubble....
Hon, Ezekiel laid out what the Heavenly Father thought about those that teach fly away to save souls..
And yet the ruptermits have NO clue who the literal antichrist literally is.. especially, since Christ Himself declared He had foretold ALL things..
The ‘mass deception’ is wide and deeeeep!
We are commanded (as Daniel was) to “know and understand” the words of this very important prophecy from the Lord. The prophetical launch begins with a certain “decree”:
As usual, verse 23 is not included. It must not be considered important what with all the theory, conjecture, and expert analyses from those who know how to run the numbers to arrive at the predetermined date.
The generic common man on the street wouldn't know about the scholarly 360-day prophetic years or the "confirmed" word from modern archaeology, but at least he knows the location of the Ark of the Covenant.
23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision...
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
The tradition is to keep arguing until Kingdom Come.
This prophecy of the coming Messiah is both remarkable and extremely precise.
After all, if any person is famously associated with "Coming Soon", it's the Messiah. People are watching for the signs.
RSV(P)
Rev 3:11
I am coming soon; hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.Rev 22:7
And behold, I am coming soon." Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.Rev 22:12
"Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense, to repay every one for what he has done.Rev 22:20
He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
And yet Again...
You answer without Scripture, and some vague reference to Ezekiel.
And since you seem so in “the know” my dear - lay it out for all FReepers, who is the literal A/C?
Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger
