I recently finished the Book of Job, and am now in Psalms (Hurray!) Going from Job to Psalms is like this section of Handel's Messiah. The world is in darkness, and, suddenly, it's full of Light and the Angels are singing. here's a little satirical piece I wrote about the Book of Job, many years ago:

In my Personal Bible Reading Program, I group the Book of Job with Poetry, meaning that it is the Leader before Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon. Because of the great length of this section, and because Job is quite long and "difficult", I probably only read it through once a year. However, it is very near and dear to my heart.

Because of a string of misfortunes that started in 2011, I came to really empathize with Job, not only for his severe losses, but for what I have come to call the curious "people group" of folks called the Yushuda Tribe. Let's pretend I am a learned Anthropologist, and get ready to learn about this fascinating Tribe of people that live among us to this day!

The Yushuda Tribe are an ancient People group that have been among us since the beginning of recorded History. We meet several of them in the Oldest Book in the Bible, and many of us may even carry the Yushuda Genome even in our present day. The Yeshuda, because of their early conquest of Paleolithic cultures, have been known to infiltrate even the most optimistic and strong tribal enclaves, thus making it possible that all races, tribes, tongues, and ethnic groups have members who's traits show strong Yeshuda Heritage. The Infiltration of the Yeshuda seems to coincide with the development of Language.

Common traits of the Yeshuda are emphasized in the Book of Job, when his three friends, and then another passer-by come to comfort him in his distress. At first sympathetic, their speech begins to rapidly deteriorate into Yeshuda Idioms, and they become self-righteous, sanctimonious, and judgmental. Finally, as the Yeshuda Transformation seems almost complete, The One True God intervenes and vindicates Job.

I myself have encountered many Yeshuda, some of whom are in my own family! I hope I don't display those traits as well, because i think we ALL have a little Yeshuda in us!

Some Examples of Yeshuda Expressions:

"Yeshuda LISTENED to my advice!"

"Yeshuda done it THIS way!"

"Yeshuda done it THAT way!"

"Yeshuda known this was going to happen!"

"Yeshuda had more FAITH!"

Job had the perfect response to the Yeshudas in his life. "I KNOW my Redeemer LIVES!" he declares.

Handel composed the Choral Parts of his Beautiful Oratorio in such a way that they could be sung by just about anyone. It's the Soloists who get the really difficult parts.

This Chorus is the Song of the Angels in the sky over Bethlehem, celebrating the Birth of The Messiah.
