[Catholic Caucus] Leo XIV Backs Paris Agreement, Aligns with UN’s Agenda 2030 Framework

On 17 November, Pope Leo XIV delivered a UN propaganda video message addressed to a gathering at the Amazonian Museum in Belém, Brazil. It was an event held alongside the COP30 climate summit that is part of the broader Agenda 2030 of the United Nations.

Leo XIV described creation as "crying out in floods, droughts, storms and relentless heat".

He strongly endorsed international climate efforts, stating that the Paris Agreement "remains our strongest tool for protecting people and the planet". He insisted that the agreement itself is not the problem, but rather that "what is failing is the political will of some".
However, the 2015 Agreement has an underlying agenda of promoting abortion, contraception and sterilisation as a means of population control and reducing human consumption of the Earth's resources.

Following Leo XIV’s video message, the cardinals and bishops in attendance held up a rainbow-coloured fishing net. This net is a replica of one that was given to Pope Francis during the Amazon Synod in 2019.

Instead, how about focusing on the only tool to get souls to Heaven: Jesus Christ.

There have been some pretty terrible Popes.

Pope John XII (955–964)

One of the youngest popes (elected at around 18), John XII is notorious for his debauched lifestyle, including allegations of turning the Lateran Palace into a brothel, committing adultery, and even murder. He was deposed by Emperor Otto I and reportedly died during an adulterous encounter, possibly killed by a jealous husband.

Pope Benedict IX (1032–1044, 1045, 1047–1048)
Often called the “disgrace of the papacy,” Benedict IX served three non-consecutive terms due to political maneuvering. He was accused of simony (selling Church offices), rape, murder, and sodomy. He famously sold the papacy to his godfather for gold before attempting to reclaim it, leading to chaos and his eventual excommunication.

Pope Urban VI (1378–1389)
His election sparked the Western Schism, dividing the Church between Rome and Avignon for nearly 40 years. Urban VI’s tyrannical behavior, including torturing cardinals who opposed him, alienated supporters and led to accusations of insanity and heresy. His actions deepened fractures in Christendom.

Pope Boniface VIII (1294–1303)
A staunch advocate of papal supremacy over secular rulers, Boniface VIII clashed with King Philip IV of France, leading to his arrest and humiliation. He was accused of heresy, simony, and idolatry by critics, and his bull Unam Sanctam asserted absolute papal authority, fueling anti-papal sentiment.

Pope Alexander VI (1492–1503)
From the Borgia family, Alexander VI epitomizes Renaissance corruption. He bribed his way to the papacy, fathered multiple children (including Cesare and Lucrezia Borgia), and engaged in nepotism, simony, and political assassinations. His lavish lifestyle and moral scandals shocked contemporaries and inspired tales of poisonings.

Pope Leo X (1513–1521)
A Medici pope known for extravagance, Leo X funded his opulent court and projects like St. Peter’s Basilica through the sale of indulgences, which directly provoked Martin Luther’s 95 Theses and the Protestant Reformation. He was criticized for prioritizing art and hunting over spiritual duties, famously quipping, “God has given us the papacy—let us enjoy it.”

Pope Stephen VI (896–897)
Infamous for the “Cadaver Synod,” Stephen VI exhumed the body of his predecessor, Pope Formosus, put it on trial for perjury and invalid ordinations, found it guilty, and mutilated the corpse before throwing it in the Tiber River. This macabre event symbolized the chaotic “pornocracy” era of papal politics.

All that said…current Pope challenging for the title of worst Pope ever.

I give up!
Nature has always been “crying out in floods, droughts, storms and relentless heat”. For millions of years!

I will keep my faith and hope the popes will focus on the things that really matter to the salvation of souls. Stop it with the earth worship. Just stop it!

The world might be warming.
The world might be cooling.

It’s hard to really say.

But one thing’s for sure — the solution is Communism.

Who does this Pope think controls the climate? Hint: It’s not Man & that includes the Pope.

Hey Leo, stay out of politics and just concern yourself with your “Fag dinner party” agenda...

The RCC needs to lose its tax breaks. It is and has been a political entity.

We're going to have to resume posting that photo of Herr Goebbels below any article filled with the Pope's gaseous climate-related emissions.

Talk like a propaganda minister, invite these comparisons.

What are you? Some sort of trouble maker?

You are right. The Church’s call to the world comes from Christ. Which is to preach the Good News.

Leo wont do anything like this:

Stephen VI, the successor of Boniface VI, influenced by Lambert and Agiltrude, sat in judgment of Formosus. In 897, nine months after Fomosus’s death, in what is known as the Cadaver Synod, where the pope’s body was exhumed and forced to stand trial. The Synod was an attempt for the church to distance itself from the memory of Formosus, and was an example of violence being used to destroy the symbolism behind the former pope. The corpse was disinterred, clad in papal vestments, and seated on a throne to face all the charges from John VIII. The verdict stated that the deceased pope had been unworthy of the pontificate, and the damnatio memoriae was applied to Formosus. All of Formosus’s measures and acts were annulled, and the orders conferred by him were declared invalid. The papal vestments were torn from his body, the three fingers from his right hand he had used in blessings were cut off, and the corpse was thrown into the Tiber, later to be retrieved by fisherman.
