Join with fellow FREEPERS to pray for AMERICA: For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media.

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Dear Loving Father, our only True Hope, True Security, True source of Blessing, True revelation of Truth, as we look around the internet, hear the voices of media, scan through the blogs of commentaries here and there, turn on a podcast or two, we can really get a feeling of an overwhelming sense of chaos and stress. And then we sit back, and think of our families, our friends, individual lives around our towns and cities, and we try to zero in on a smaller picture, on personal needs and hearts of ones out of the limelight of social media and we ask, Father, bring us back to what matters. Loving GOD with our whole heart, soul, mind and strength, and loving our neighbor as ourselves. Bring us back to our first Love, YOU. For indeed, we love, because YOU first loved us. Teach us what it means to LOVE. Can't help but think of the beautiful prayer of St. Francis, and today may we meditate on it, pray for it, and find ways to make our country a little better one person at a time, one day at a time, and keep it simple. Thank YOU FATHER, for YOUR DIVINE LOVE that has no limits, constrains, or prejudices.

We Pray:

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace: where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For is is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
