🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(10/8/25)[Prayer]

Water, Rivers, and Streams in the Bible
Job 6:14-17
14 “Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend
forsakes the fear of the Almighty.
15 But my brothers are as undependable as intermittent streams,
as the streams that overflow
16 when darkened by thawing ice
and swollen with melting snow,
17 but that stop flowing in the dry season,
and in the heat vanish from their channels.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Heavenly Father,
You Are Our Dwelling Place,
And Have been Throughout Generations!
You Are Our Shelter,
Our Home.
How we Long For, and Hope for Your Grace and Comfort
During these times of sorrow and distress!
Your Are our Dwelling Place,
Our Comfort,
Our Refuge,
Our Sanctuary.
No House made with Human Hands can compare.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”

Amen !!! <>< (NOTE:We must pray this daily from here on out)
Psalm 91
1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.
14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
16 With long life I will satisfy them,
and show them my salvation.

Decided to take the wife South in Israel: https://streamable.com/q98kmf (yesterday 7 October was the anniversary, so we had about 3 or 4 attacks that day coming from Yemen).
There is reason to be hopeful.
Not saying Trump will deliver a miracle.
But unlike his predecessors he seems to have the sort of character and strength, tenacity, and freedom in decision making, to where something is actually possible.
I would not be shocked if in his next three years peace breaks out in the Middle East and Ukraine.
No Nobel Prize for him though. LOL

In a story I wrote about Washington DC back in the late 20th Century, I shared a little about how it felt to be an "outcast".
We were in D.C. for Rolling Thunder, and the Motorcycle Parade in Honor of The Vietnam Vets had gone beautifully the day before. The next morning we decided that it was a lovely day, so why not go out for breakfast? Well, we rode and rode around Washington, trying to find a Dunkin Donuts, an IHOP, or a Waffle House, but such things didn't seem to exist in Our Nation's Capital. Round and round we rode, in an ever increasing circle, and soon found ourselves in the part of town that the tourists never see. Burned-out buildings lined the street, and later we found out that they were burned in the riots following the assassination of Martin Luther King and had never been fixed...and here it was 1995! The street grew more and more depressing, and, of course, there wasn't a Dunkin Donuts, IHOP, or Waffle House in sight. Suddenly I saw an elderly Black Man crossing the street, against the lights and walking very slowly. I signaled Hubby to stop his bike, and the two us us halted to let him pass. Then I saw it! In the man's hands were a muffin and a cup of coffee!
"Excuse me, Sir," I said. "Can you tell me where you got that coffee and muffin?"
"At the Homeless Shelter." he replied.
Our hearts sank. "Oh." I muttered."We could never go THERE!"
The old man looked us up and down and said:
"It's OK. They'll accept ANYBODY!"
We found our way back to our hotel, which by that time was serving LUNCH. LOL.
All cultures have an "In Group" and an "Out Group". It is unfortunate, but, Human Nature and the tide of History being what they are, prejudice exists in every community. Rich and Poor, Black and White, Brahman and Untouchable, Homeowners and Renters, Religious and Non-religious, it is everywhere. Even a three-digit credit score can deny one housing, job, or a loan.
When Job was prosperous, he had many friends. However, when he was struck with misfortune, only three showed up to comfort him.
At first, they sat with Job in silence, allowing the grief to envelope them. In their silence, they showed solidarity with Job in his suffering.
Then, like humans everywhere, they tried to puzzle out the possible cause of Job's misfortune.
Their first assumptions show an incomplete understanding of God. They apply a primitive form of "karma" to Job: "You must have done something to deserve this!" This is a natural reaction. It's like saying "What goes around, comes around", or "You made your bed, now lie in it." When Job can't think of anything he's done to deserve this "punishment", they call him a liar. Seriously.
Then they start Virtue-Signaling about God's Sovereignty, as if they were experts. If the same misfortune had fallen upon them, would they have responded in the same way?
Job compares his "friends" to a stream. Sometimes it's bubbly and fresh, sometimes it's darkened by winter ice, and sometimes it dries up completely.
I confess, I often find myself at stage two of Job's alleged friends. When somebody shares a problem with me, I feel the need to "fix it". This involves finding out the root cause of the problem, and puzzling it out.
Many times, that's NOT appropriate. When a person asks for prayer, for example, it's not my job to interrogate that person as to the cause of his sorrow. It's my job to extend to him the grace and comfort of God, not His Judgment.
When a person brings a problem, consider this:
1. Is he asking you for advice? OK...you have permission to share your thoughts on the matter.
2. Is he asking you for a solution? Fine..it's now OK to probe further to fined the root cause of the problem so you can help fix it.
3. Is he asking you just for comfort in his grief? It's OK to sit in silence with your friend.
Don't give ice when warmth is needed, or dust when a man is thirsty.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
”Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 NIV)
