America Prayer Vigil

Join with fellow FREEPERS to pray for AMERICA: For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Agri-Business; End to Sex Slavery; Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1 John 5:14)

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 1 JOHN 5:14

“Oh, that men would praise [and confess to] the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with good.” Father God, we do praise You and confess Your goodness and lovingkindness to us. We remember just a year ago crying to You for righteous leaders and pleading for deliverance from the bondage of unrighteous leadership. We are so grateful. Today we pray for those righteous leaders. We are in awe as we see that You have given us an administration filled with mighty warriors who acknowledge Your ways of dong and being right. This is awesome in our sight.

We pray Your Word over them. We know this scripture refers to Jesus, but these warriors have confessed their dependence upon You and that Your Spirit lives and manifests Himself through them. Therefore, we say, “the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon them—the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord—And shall make them of quick understanding, and their delight shall be in the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord. And they shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, neither decide by the hearing of their ears; But with righteousness and justice shall they judge the poor and decide with fairness for the meek, the poor, and the downtrodden of the earth.” We trust You for Your vengeance against our former oppressors and those who yet remain.

As children of Yours, we understand the temptations and struggles to our choice of living, breathing and having our being in You; hearing and obeying Your voice alone. Therefore, we pray that You would give them time to study and show themselves approved unto You. We pray that You would send servants who will give them Your counsel and will that will put and keep them on course. Increase their discernment we ask.

Let their hearts hold fast Your words; keep Your commandments and live. Help them, Holy Spirit, to get skillful and godly Wisdom, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation). As You bring the Word they have heard to their remembrance, may they not forget and turn back from the words of Your mouth.

We will continue to rejoice as we witness the Wisdom You give–that wisdom that will keep, defend, guard and protect them;

We specifically pray for Secretary Kennedy. We ask that You would surround him with people of skill and understanding. Please assure that truth about these wonderfully made vessels would find its way to him. May he have favor and the ability to adjust current protocols to those that You are revealing to him. As this happens, we trust Your Word that says he will be exalted and promoted, bring him honor as he embraces Your wisdom.

We declare that Jesus is Lord and that all the unrighteous ones that are standing in the way of Your will for us will bow their knees and declare You as Lord God Almighty. All America shall be saved, according to Your will.

Thank You in the name of Jesus. Amen.

A Prayer for America

Lord,

We are thankful for the abundant blessings You have bestowed on America. Our forefathers looked to You as Protector, Provider, and the Promise of hope. But we have wandered far from that firm foundation. May we repent for turning our backs on Your faithfulness.

We pray that this great nation will be restored by Your forgiveness.

From bondage, You grant freedom.

Through Your own sacrifice, You offer salvation.

From the state of despair, You offer peace.

From the bounties of Heaven, You have blessed – not because of our goodness – but by Your grace.

You have given us freedom to worship You in spirit and in truth as Your holy Word instructs. May our lives honor You in word and deed. May our nation acknowledge that all good things come from the Father above.

President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed that our nation should set apart a day for national prayer to confess our sins and transgressions in sorrow, “yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon… announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.”

“We have vainly imagined in the deceitfulness of our own hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own… we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God who made us! It behooves us then… to confess our national sins and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.”

Help us to pray earnestly for our president and leaders who govern, that they will humble themselves and seek Your guidance so that everything we do will shine the light of Your glory in a darkened world.

May our prayers as a people and a nation be heard and blessed for such a time as this. We make this plea in faith, believing in the mighty name of Jesus our Lord.

I echo every word of your Spirit filled prayer
and add prayer for Chicago.

Lord, we lift the conflict between the federal government and the mayor of Chicago. We pray that it is Your Will that the rule of law be restored. We pray for protection for all of the ICE agents and any National Guard troops that will be deployed there.

Lord, we pray that it is Your Will that the mayor and any others that are on the side of crime will be humbled, repent and seek wisdom.

Lord, we pray for those trapped in Chicago that are not party to war. We pray for their protection. We pray that they will seek peace in You, the only Righteous and Just King.
