Suffering as a Follower of Christ

My friends, do not be surprised at the painful things that you are now suffering, which are testing your faith. Do not think that something strange is happening to you. But you should be happy that you are sharing in Christ’s sufferings. You will be happy and full of joy when Christ shows His glory.

When people say bad things to you because you follow Christ, consider it a blessing. When that happens, it shows that God’s Spirit, the Spirit of glory, is with you. You may suffer, but do not let it be because you murder, steal, make trouble, or try to control other people’s lives. But if you suffer because you are a “Christ-follower,” do not be ashamed. You should praise God for that name.

It is time for judging to begin. That judging will begin with God’s family. If it begins with us, then what will happen to those who do not accept the Good News of God?

“If it is hard for even a good person to be saved, what will happen to the one who is against God and full of sin?”

So, if God wants you to suffer, you should trust your lives to Him. He is the one who made you, and you can trust Him. So, continue to do good. (1 Peter 4:7-19). EVR

FATHER GOD,

Chaos, destruction, murder, hatred are all around us. Satan and his minions are working overtime to overthrow the Name of Christ and His Good News.

“How did it come to this?” we ask. But deep inside we already know the answer. Believers have allowed progressives to strike Your Name and Your WORD from the schoolhouse, the courthouse, and in the public arena. Sadly, as Satan is having a heyday institutionalizing evil, the silent church looks on.

You warned us of blessings and curses that come upon nations who obey and disobey. (Deuteronomy 28)

We ask forgiveness for what our nation has become and ask for Your mercy and grace to pull America out of the abyss. Give us another chance to shine the light of truth to the nations.

Protect President Trump, JD Vance, members of his Administration, and their families. Give President Trump wise counsel, draw near to Him as He seeks Your wisdom and guidance, and clothe him in Your armor so he can withstand the fiery darts that come toward him 24/7.

Send Your mighty angel army to fight alongside ICE, the National Guard, and first responders as they round up criminals and illegal aliens. Let no weapon formed against them prosper.

May our prayer be, “Change our hearts, O Lord, make them ever true. Change our hearts, O Lord, let us be like You.

Yet, Father, for far too long even upright fellow-citizens have taken You for granted and lived lives apart from Your counsel, finding daily nourishment in sports, movies, music, and all the trivial "vanities" of this world.
So Lord, this recent Charlie Kirk awakening needs to move us of the Right, to that same path Charlie followed, equipping ourselves in Biblical truth, deepening our faith and fellowship.
Presently our country is besieged by the demonically-charged doctrines/actions of the Progressive Left -- those making a "stark display" of their contempt for the Word of God -- defying and mocking the Scriptures and traditional values. We even see many professing believers, primarily of the "Sardis" persuasion filling the pews of denominational churches, making common league with them.

These so-called "moderate Dems" are twho in Psalm 1 are said to sit in fellowship with the more open mockers. Blow away that liberal chaff so that it is far from America. .That sort brings this country down.

We seek divine intervention to correct the course, the evil blindspots which CP referred to, those craven souls who have so hurt our standing in your eyes -- trample them underfoot.

Bless our President and shame his detractors. Surround him with good advisors and godly souls. May he seek your direction when making cdecisions from the Oval Office.
