For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media.

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone:
for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Loving God,

You satisfy our longing souls. What a privilege it is to take everything to You in prayer. We are blessed beyond measure because You are our God. Thank You, Father, for Your unending love.

Sometimes we pause and think about all the times You have rescued us----times when we were aware of Your hand holding us back, and times when we were completely unaware of what You did to prevent disaster in our lives. We simply marvel at Your faithfulness, Your mercy, and Your grace. Thank You, Father.

Our hearts continue to be deeply troubled by the recent school shooting of children and adults in this nation. Precious little ones were targeted as they gathered to worship you. Father, forgive us for allowing our youth to be victimized by the wrong thinking in our culture. Bless those who showed their bravery by staring down death in order to protect the lives of others. Thank You for all those who are extending a hand of help and words of encouragement to those who have suffered loss. Father, please help our nation to treasure its people and to protect its little ones, beginning in the womb. May we value human life, no matter what stage or age. Lord, bring us closer together as a nation through the workings of the Holy Spirit in the Body of Christ.

We pray that You would stretch out Your hand against the wrath of our President’s enemies, for surely they are great in number and emboldened by the devil. Please help our President to be wise through Your wisdom and discerning through the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank You for every creative idea You place in his heart and mind to address the problems he faces in this nation.

Lord, bring peace to America, to its people, and to our government. Restore our commitment to You. Give us a passion for the lost and help us Lord to hasten the day of Your return by working to lead others to You. Bless and strengthen the Third Great Awakening that is growing throughout our nation. Let the flames of revival grow for the glory of our Savior, Jesus. Help us to honor You by spending time in Your presence each day and by sharing Your love with others. Bless Your people Israel, and may Your Name be glorified throughout this world. Thank You, Precious Savior, for Your amazing grace and Your perfect finished work at the Cross of Calvary. In the Name above all names---Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.
