Cold has a limit (Absolute Zero) heat doesn’t. Dark and light are the same way. You cannot get darker than an absolute lack of radiant energy. But there is no upper limit to brightness.
Evil, in many cases is a lack of good. As dark is a lack of light. Or cold a lack of heat.
Immorality is a lack of morals not a thing in itself. Dishonesty is a lack of honesty, not a thing in itself. The same is true of most evil.

Man’s freewill led to his down fall in early Genesis. The rest of the Bible is about God’s Salvation of man. If we would only accept it.

He created perfect beings with free will with the real potential to say No to Him/choose their own will over His. But if he just wanted mindless beings that couldn’t refuse/reject Him, free will wouldn’t have been needed.
