For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media.

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone:
for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Holy God,

We bow our heads and enter into Your presence so thankful that we can participate in the greatest privilege of life: communicating with the God of all creation. We are blessed beyond description for You are too wonderful for words. There is none like You.

So we come before You in an act of repentance, recognizing that we in America have backslidden just as Israel did. We are lost in this nation because we have abandoned You. You have not abandoned us.

Father, we acknowledge that we have turned away from Commandment #1----that we should have no other gods before You. We truly have been guilty of attempting to replace You with many other “gods,” and have thus lost much of what You wanted to provide for this nation. Forgive us, Lord. Help each of us to begin our part in America’s journey back to You by examining in our own hearts where we have placed people, activities, or material things higher than You. Help us, Lord, to honor You in our lives each and every day as we seek Your face and Your deliverance from the moral decline that is plaguing our nation and much of this world.

Father, You have such love for Your people. Thank You for loving us even in our unlovable state. Help us, Father, to be imitators of You, Lord, as Your beloved children. Make us instruments of Your peace, Your love, Your truth, Your mercy, and Your forgiveness.

We are truly grateful for President Trump and the people he has placed in positions of tremendous responsibility. Protect the men and women in our military, in our police forces, our first responders everywhere from all harm and danger as they continue their assignments. Father, we know there are many mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual stresses on these patriots, but we are confident in Your desire and Your willingness to help them through them all. Please comfort the families of those who have lost their loved ones in recent tragedies. May the prayers and other loving acts of the people in this nation surround them.

Lord, we know that You are the God Who provides all when hearts and minds are earnestly seeking You. Help us, Lord God, to have the country, the towns and cities, the churches, the schools, the homes, the families, and the relationship with You that You want us to have. We know that no good thing will You withhold from those who walk uprightly before You. Make us that kind of people, Lord. Help us to become those who walk uprightly before You. May the third Great Awakening begin and flourish in this nation so that more and more souls will be won for Your Kingdom. Help each of us to seek to do good, Lord. In the powerful Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
