We had fun that with our two backgrounds having these theological discussions you know he showed me some of the biblical basis of adventism you know things like saying well do you think there's wisdom in do not commit adultery and do not steal I'd say yeah, he's like then how about the Sabbath it's in the same list do you think there's still some wisdom in that?
you know this kind of thing or showing me where Jesus anticipates the Sabbath will continue after he's gone, and I'm like there is logic to this, there is a Bible basis to this I'd never really looked at so some very deep seeds between his welcome and his Bible studies um and then what happens at Milwaukee Central is I'm just I'm just sort of falling in love with these people right I'm getting such a good welcome from them and I'm looking around and I'm noticing like what is it with these Adventists that they they shine so brightly right like we're supposed to be the light of the world and it's all these people are like why are they all 200 watt bulbs instead of 60 you know I mean it's it's well yeah everybody gives more than 10 percent of their income and I'm like what are you talking about nobody does that you know and we spend all day uh you know worshiping God and reflecting on the word I say what are you talking Nobody Does that nobody stays in church all day right and so I'm experiencing this um and I'm like wow I'm just very impressed and I'm starting to enjoy spending these whole days with our music group you know just not doing any work and you know just resting in the Lord

Dr. Beverly Whelton: Former Seventh-day Adventist - The Journey Home (5-23-2005)
How a Seventh-day Adventist Minister Became Catholic - Norman bin Yazid
In the end, most will align with rome. Incuding so called protestants. Her and her daughters united on false common doctrine including the counterfeit day. Even observed by mormons and Jehovah witnesses.
Truth is never found in the majority.
But many will come out like this priest.
To the law and to the testimony if they speak not, there is no light in them. Isaiah 8:20
He’ll be back.
Good luck with that. I’m not saying SDA’S won’t go to Heaven if they’ve accepted Jesus, but to say they are the only way is just not scriptural.

Salvation is not found in any church including the SDA church or the Catholic church or the mormon church or any church.
Salvation is found in a person, Jesus Christ.
By the time the 7 last plagues hit, the SDA “church” won’t even be around. The Adventist “message” is Biblical. It’s a people, the “remnant” as described in Revelation 12:17.
Church is God’s people and in the end, after the close of probation and the judgement is complete.......they are a people who keep the “commandments of God”......not a church. Revelation 12:17. And the world will hate them......again....Revelation 12:17.
Heck, the big church hates the Sabbath already as you can see up here. and so many join her in that hate. Across all denominations...they join and unite. It’s often bizarre to witness.
They all disagree with each other on this and that..but bring up the Sabbath.....instand unity. Just as Revelation says there would be. The woman and her daughters.....She’s the mother church.
Going from one false religion to another false religion. This guy hasn’t opened his eyes wide enough yet.
So, he joined a cult.
I remember another priest who for a time left the true Church for Mormonism. He started out by wanting to know more about Mormons but they were all so nice to him he started to like them and enjoy being with them. Eventually he became a Mormon and became a big celebrity on the Mormon speaking circuit and they loved to show him off as proof that Mormonism was true. After the glow of celebrity wore off, however, he started looking at Mormon doctrine more seriously and discovered all the errors and inconsistencies. He eventually came back to the Church (not as a priest) and has written several books about his experience.
One thing that he says is that his "conversion" to Mormonism was because he was seeking the approval of men rather than God. However the truth of the Catholic Faith brought him back to the true Church. The ex-priest in your story seems to be suffering the same delusion and will, as another poster said, be back. As the sage Bart Simpson once said, "Once you go Catholic, you can't go back."
Here's a resource you might enjoy:
I think you’re A tad bit one-sided, and not necessarily the right side. But I don’t want to argue. God looks on the heart.
Even Jesus had a Judas.
True, but religion itself doesn’t save anyway.
Very frustrating that so many people put their faith in a building or church name.
Where's "Surf's up, Dude" and "Cowabunga"?
Where do y'all come up with these losers? The Island of Misfit Toys?
The Hebrew Roots Movement's origins can be traced back to two earlier strains of Jewish-oriented Christianity.[10][11][12]
The Sacred Name Movement began in the 1930s as a strain of Seventh-day Adventism which advocated for a return to the Mosaic Law in addition to standard Adventist theology.[13] Around the same time, Adventist preacher Herbert W. Armstrong founded the Worldwide Church of God, which promoted Gentile Christian observance of the Mosaic Law as well as various forms of British Israelism and apocalyptic eschatology.[14] Upon his death in the 1980s, his church splintered between those who wished to embrace mainstream Evangelical Christianity and those who wished to continue his Mosaic theology, with the latter forming their own break-off congregations and dispersing throughout the Midwest and Southern United States.[15]
Just another heresy.
In my opinion, the holy days written of in the OT, are forever instituted for a reason. A lot of them, including the beginning of the Months, and the number of them are required to know what days future events will happen written of in prophecy. The Sabbath is forever, and will be a day of worship in Heaven.

Spot on and beautifully said. God declared the 7th day of creation to be a holy day at creation. It is a holy day and we are not to tamper with what God declared pronounced and labeled as holy.
It will even be in heaven and the new earth......just as you say. And it will be the best and blessed day of the week there too.......Isaiah 66. Thank you.
One True Cult competition.
