GOD’S WRATH AGAINST SINFUL HUMANITY (Romans 1:18-32 NKJ)

18 The wrath of God being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

HEAVENLY FATHER,

One only has to regularly open sites like FreeRepublic.com and TheLibertyDaily.com to realize just how this passage Romans 1:18-32 relates to our current crisis of evil in America. A country that has turned its back on You. We have prayed for truth to be exposed and so far, any exposure has led to even greater revelations of committed crimes within our local, state and federal government, judicial system, institutions, technology, media, health care, education, business and industry, religious institutions/churches as well as crimes against humanity. Our ancestors wouldn’t even begin to recognize this country . . . a country that certainly has lost its way. Please create in us a new heart . . .a new passion for Your Sovereignty, Your Word, Your Grace. We pray for Your Protection for those and their families who have stood for truth at the expense of severe retribution. We pray that You will provide the true justice that fits the crimes.

We pray for President Trump’s and Vice President Vance’s leadership . . .that they will truly seek Your Will in all that they do and that ours will be a nation that stands for Israel, “the Apple of Your eye.”

We ask for Your protection over our military, whistle blowers, border patrol, first responders, local law enforcement, rescuers of the sex trafficked, and legislatures and judges that are standing for truth and righteousness as well as missionaries around the world spreading Your Good News often in the face of adversity and danger.

We ask also for Your Deliverance of Hope for the needy, the bereaved, the elderly, the infirmed, victims of crime and natural and man-made disasters.

July is ending and soon children will be going back to school PreK – university. We pray for Your protection over them not only physically but mentally and that students will not be given over to “woke thinking and actions” and that parents will take a true interest and active role in their children’s education.

We pray that people and their families will attend churches that adhere to Your Will, Your Way and if found wanting of Spiritual correctness, they will seriously seek other places of worship that have “Your Stamp of Approval.”

Wars, rumors of wars, AI and high tech’s desire to replace Your Sovereignty as Lord over our lives point to end time prophecy. Open the eyes of Your people that they will see the light and more importantly Your Light.

Heavenly Father, for those reading this day’s prayer thread, remind us that we are “still breathing” and have a purpose to fulfill. We were born on purpose for Your Purpose. Please instill in the minds and hearts of us all the urgency to spread the Good News of the Gospel of Your Son Jesus Christ . . . . Savior of the World . . . and help us testify that an eternal life in heaven is for all no matter what kind of lives are being lived. . . and that an eternity with You only comes “by believing” on the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus, Who died the worst death of all for humanity’s souls, and then “by asking for the forgiveness of sin”. . . This is “The Plan of Salvation” for an eternal life in Heaven.

We thank you for being in the midst of our lives even if some consider them to be mundane and trivial moments. Thank you for Your protection and sending Your Mighty angels “just in time” to rescue us from ourselves.

The world front is so messed up, but we know You are in charge and that we are to be faithful in praying that Your Will be done. Your Word, the Bible, is our instruction manual. You even promise that we will receive a blessing each and every time we read/listen to Your Book of Revelation . . .it’s all there . . . a prophecy of warning and hope.

Please keep us safe in Your Everlasting Arms. . . .we give You all Praise and Glory. . .God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit all as One.

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I’m a sinner and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I repent and turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name I pray, Amen.
