Our Father in Heaven
Hallowed be Your Most Holy Name!
How We Long For Your Kingdom,
How We Wait For Your Will to be Done,
Here on earth, as it already is, in Heaven.
You Are Our Peace,
Our Wholeness,
Our Shalom,
Our Security,
Our Prosperity,
and Our Future.
We are nothing without You.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.

On a corner lot nearby is a lovely home that sits at the end of a long circular driveway. At the entrance of the driveway is a large boulder, what geologists call an "erratic" left over from the Ice Age. Placed there by a retreating glacier, an erratic is usually too big to move and so becomes part of "creative" landscaping. What makes this particular erratic unique is that it has been split cleanly down the middle, as if it was cut with a precision saw-blade.

The unusual "landscape feature" is on a road that approaches my own neighborhood, at the border of a large tract of scenic reservation land. Long winding roads thread their way through woodlands, mansions, seaside villages, and historic Revolution-Era farmhouses. It's a beautiful ride, and challenging, with a lot of deep curves and switchbacks. Now that I have my bike back, I will probably do the ride this afternoon, just because.

The house with the split rock tells me I'm almost home. Every time I pass it, I think about the Rock in the desert that gushed forth living water. (In fact, there is a rock in Saudi Arabia that looks just like this one. Many people think it is the one Moses struck with his staff.)

It's nice that one of my favorite rides includes this reminder of the incredible Provision and grace of God.
