…Those who take the side of Israel at times will go to the extreme of almost idolizing Israel, where Israel can do no wrong, and praising every move that Israel makes without considering the fact that Israel is not a country run by God-fearing people, nor is it a country that looks to God for direction.
On the other side, there are those in the Church who go to the other extreme and blame Israel for every bad thing happening in the world today. Many of these people are calling to boycott Israel in all areas including cutting relations with Israeli companies, ceasing to buy Israeli products, not collaborating with Israeli universities, etc.
…I am well aware that not everyone will agree with all that I write; while we are all entitled to hold our opinions, I want to exhort us all (myself included) to approach God’s word with clean hearts – free from our own agendas – and see the pureness of God’s Word. Read it, study it, try to put your feelings and biases aside, or even what you have learned for so many years in your Seminary or denomination, and see what the Word really says. It is our own personal responsibility to study the Word and submit to it, for on Judgment Day, we will each give an account for ourselves.

Jesus is of the house of David, Jewish. The Jews are Jesus' family.
The Christian church is Christ's bride.
Cornelius, a gentile, was told there are memorials in Heaven to honor his acts of charity.
Jesus has promised to return when the remaining Jews, facing utter destruction, finally repent and acknowledge him as their only savior.
Between now and then, we the imperfect people of Christ's church have the DUTY to not curse the imperfect people of Christ's family.
Know your place, AMERICAN CHRISTIANS!
Actions have to be judged on an individual basis.
The Gaza mess has been awful since the attack started. It has deeply damaged at all levels Israel’s reputation for competence.
The West Bank settlements and restrictions have been excessive.
However, Israel has a right to defend itself and its people by all necessary means.
Good post. Thank you.

Love truth
Be kind
Jesus is living water,
the well of Bethlehem
by the gate,
satisfying the thirst of David,
nearby the Siloam Pool.

Please clarify which attack you mean.
It’s not either or.
One can support Israel and NOT think they are perfect or beyond criticism.
God promises blessing on those who bless Abraham’s seed, the Jews. He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel.
I agree. Netenyahu fought a half war.
Excuse me, but this is HIGHLY offensive. How dare you refer to an entity from ANOTHER RELIGION as the Jews' "only savior"? According to MY prayerbook and MY Torah, there is but one G-d Almighty and HE is our only savior. Acknowledging G-d Almighty as the only one is on the lips of every Jew (or should be) twice a day. It should also be the last words you utter when you leave this world.
You worship your god, and we'll worship ours.
Antisemitism - not mere disagreement with Israeli policies - is out of hand in the world as is. Post World War II and all. Ironically it’s the worst in the very institutions founded to prevent another Holocaust: the United Nations for one. What is also disturbing is the emerging stronghold it has become in some corners of MAGA.
On the other hand, “blessed” people and a “blessed” nation who supposedly support Israel - should have fruit to show for. What good is boasting of one’s support for Israel while every other area of their faith walk and life is bitter and toxic. 🙄(This also goes for the U.S. as a whole.)
Focus on Christ first, then love for neighbor, and all else falls into place, and in their proper place. Same goes for churches so obsessed with the Middle East, they forget their own congregants, and people walking into service for the first time seeking Christ. Not some pseudo-prophetic end times lecture.
Israel constitutes only an 0.2 percent of the Middle East's land mass, and does not seek to conquer any nation, but only wants to live in peace and acts in that interest. If its survival was not threatened then it would not receive the vast sums of $ from the US, much of which it gets back in purchases.
Agreed daniel1212: but these “basic” rationales get lost on both sides. Can you imagine a young and troubled pregnant woman, walking into a church service, wrestling with the decision to have an abortion or not, and instead of encountering Christ — she gets bombarded with some pseudo-prophetic drivel about the ‘end times,’ or some pastor spewing out hateful rhetoric against Arabs?
You hated Him before you hated me, but I refuse to curse you. God bless Isreal.
Who do you mean by "Him"? I have no hate regarding your deity, or other deities outside of my religion. I don't even "hate" you for your misplaced insistence that adherents of other religions must follow yours instead. However, I adore and worship G-d Almighty, the paragon of MY religion. And how about spelling Israel correctly?
In Matthew 24:29-31, Jesus describes His return in glory “immediately after the tribulation of those days,” with angels gathering the elect. While this passage speaks of cosmic upheaval and the gathering of God’s people, it does not explicitly tie His return to the repentance of the Jewish people alone.
God’s covenant with the Jewish people remains irrevocable (Romans 11:29), and their role in salvation history is unique.
No single biblical passage explicitly conditions Christ’s return on a moment of “utter destruction” for the Jewish people followed by their repentance. Zechariah 12:10 or Revelation 7:4-8 are both in symbolic form.
Matthew 24:29-31 describes tribulation before Christ’s return but does not single out the Jewish people as facing “utter destruction” as a prerequisite. The focus is universal, encompassing all nations (Matthew 25:31-32)
