Join with fellow FREEPERS to pray for AMERICA: For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Agri-Business; End to Sex Slavery; Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1 John 5:14)

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

You have put Your Word and heart into us so that this is our will also.

What is the moral of the story of Jezebel? “The Dangers of Idolatry: Jezebel's story is a cautionary tale about the consequences of turning away from God to serve false gods. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. James 3:14-17

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. (Phil. 2:3)

Father, You have made it abundantly clear that manipulation, pride, selfish ambition and a lust for power has been at the root of our Nation’s woes. We see the spirit of Jezebel in operation and use Your Name to take authority over it where our elected and appointed officials are concerned. We bind you, Jezebel and haughty spirits in the Name above all names, Jesus Christ, from deceiving and putting a veil over the eyes of these people. Be free in the name of Jesus! Holy Spirit of God, please invade their lives with Your Truth, Love and Wisdom.

We pray: “For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for them, and to ask that they may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that they may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified them to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. Deliver them from the power of darkness and convey them into the kingdom of the Son of Your love, in whom they can have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. (Col. 1:9-13) We honor and bless You with every fiber of our being for answering this prayer according to Your will. Amen.

On Sunday, July 6, 2025, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon (Orthodox Church in America)) issued the following statement concerning the devastating flooding in central Texas:

“I am deeply saddened to hear of the terrible flooding in central Texas along the Guadalupe River, along with the great loss of life. At this time, with many still missing, I urge the clergy and faithful of the Orthodox Church in America to pray for the efforts of first responders and all involved in search efforts. I also pray that the Lord would extend his great comfort to all those who have suffered loss of loved ones or friends due to this disaster, or who were harmed by these floods in any way. In accordance with the apostolic command to ‘Weep with those who weep’ (Rom. 12:15), I, together with all the clergy and faithful of the Orthodox Church in America, join with those affected by this flooding, and indeed with all the people of the United States, in mourning this tragedy. Finally, as rain storms continue to threaten the affected areas of the Guadalupe Basin, let us beseech the Lord that ‘he will remember the covenant he made with Noah and not destroy us with grievous wetness and the stormy breath of winds’ (Book of Needs), but instead reveal his great mercy by sending fair weather together with gentle showers in their season.

To all those assisting the victims of this flood, may God grant his protection and blessing, and many years.

To all those who have suffered because of this disaster, may God show his comfort and mercy.

To all those who lost loved one and friends in this tragedy, may God reveal his compassion and love.”
