Rev. Beatrix Weil, an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and chaplain at Rhodes College, a 2,000-student liberal arts institution affiliated with the PCUSA, sparked controversy in 2023 after attempting to host a BDSM 101 workshop on campus. The event, which was to feature a local dominatrix who would “share wisdom on how to safely, sanely, and consensually learn about bondage, discipline/domination, sadism/submission, and masochism,” was canceled following public outcry.
The BDSM workshop wasn’t a one-off. Days prior, she hosted the same dominatrix for a seminar titled “Let’s Talk About Sex,” which proceeded without cancellation.
At the time, a Rhodes College spokesperson addressed the canceled workshop, stating, “The proposed event was canceled Friday as soon as it came to our attention…The event was not vetted through appropriate approval channels. No such event is planned for our campus. We recognize we need to do some work on our event approval processes, so we are reviewing that and will make changes as appropriate.”
Despite the controversy, Weil’s career has continued to flourish. In 2024, she was named “Chaplain of the Year” by the Association for Chaplaincy and Spiritual Life in Higher Education, an organization representing over 150 colleges and universities.
Two months ago, she also received the “Outstanding Professional Award” from the Spirituality and Religion in Higher Education Knowledge Community of NASPA, the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education.
According to a Rhodes College news story, the NASPA award recognizes a chaplain who has “devoted time and energy and made great professional contributions to the promotion of spirituality and religion on their campus.”

Thank you very much and God bless you.

Just like “transgenderism” such a “seminar” is not to understand BDSM for what it is - a sickness - but instead to suggest the sickness should be accepted, as “normal”.
Certainly something to get whipped up about.
Gee, sounds like loads of fun.
Smiles smiles.
And my life’s been a little boring of late, too.
Maybe I’ll join that church ?
Heresy!

Presbyterian Pastor Who Tried To Host BDSM Workshop with Dominatrix Won ANOTHER Award.
This is why burning at the stake was invented.
She’s a witch! Burn her.
Seriously, Beatrix probably supports the notion of ‘minor attracted persons’ among other perversions, abominations.
She’s a twisted sister.
Have you noticed, they love giving one another awards?
They can have their workshop elsewhere.
It is not as if the pastor is chained to college.
With every passing month, society’s former practice of keeping homosexuality in the closet makes more and more sense. Once out of the closet, they infiltrate everything and ruin everything.
She reminds me of Tiny Tim in a clerical collar.
Ma’am, you have beautiful children. Are they twins? No, you idiot - he is 16 and she is 12. Why would you think they are twins? Well, I didn’t think anyone would screw you twice.
What the $hit?
Oh, she’s going to learn about bondage, and about sadism - for an eternity in an unquenchable fire where the worm does not die.
Stupid woman.
Rope+neck+millstone+abyss > what the Conquering King will do with her.
Who would attend such a “church?”
Oops!

Less than…. Where’s my coffee?
Satan and his children.
Praying for this pastor to meet Jesus and get born again.

Glad it was made clear that it’s the PCUSA, and not the PCA.
