Would you please come to Daniel 7 verse 25. ...."he will speak against the most high, and oppress his saints, and try to change the set times and law, the saints will be handed over to him for a time, times, and half a time. The Bible says that this day that points us to the creator, this day that tells us life is complete, life has got meaning, life has got purpose, The Bible tells us that a great church came into the world and with an impious hand, changed the sabbath from the 7th day to the first day.......

Well that's a different and Ironic truth. There is evidence for the change of God's law regarding the holy Sabbath from the 7th day to the first day. Just now what one would expect. The ONLY evidence of the change was when God predicted the Antichrist would attempt to change it. Whoaaaa Nellie as Dick Lane used to say in Los Angeles during Roller Derby...and wrestling.....

Christ says in Matthew that only the Father knows the time... so Satan isn’t able to calculate it or interfere in it either way.
Yes but by changing the calendar, it makes it very difficult to know what time it is. We are to watch, as the brides watch for the bridge groom
Nobody knows the day or hour of this return, agree. But he did give us signs and describe conditions on earth just before his return. INcluding a time of trouble such as never was and he sees the Sabbath at the end of time in Matthew 24.
And apparently there is some real issues with the law of God at the end because in Revelation 12:17, we read that Satan is very angry with those who are keeping the “commandments of God.” And John saw the temple, the heavenly Sanctuary in heaven where the Ten Commandments were kept and he sees the 10 commandments......”The tabernacle of the Testimony.”
Whenever the word Testimony is used in conjunction with the Temple, it’s referring to the 10 commandments. And the judgement is going on in this heavenly Sanctuary because in Revelation 16, we see an Angel fly out of the temple crying out....IT IS DONE!!
So Christ our sacrfice, the courtyard, ,Christ our mediator the first apartment or holy place, and Christ our Judge, the most holy.......and in the most holy....the ark of the covenant and in the ark of the covenant the holy law of God and in the holy law of God, the HOLY seventh day Sabbath which he declared to be holy at creation.
Long before any Jew was around. it is a Sanctuary in time, and it was placed in the Sanctuary.
We can learn so much by studying the Sanctuary. IN the book of Revelation, much of the vision relates to and is even in...the Heavenly Sanctuary.

This is true. Very true. But the good news, I think more and more people who want truth are finding it as it relates to the law of God, and in particular this holy sabbath that he gave as a gift to us.
Something they have never even considered before. But as they study and seek Truth, the Holy Spirit is “calling them out of Babylon” and Babylon means confusion.
I read something that Dr. Bacchiocchi once wrote that was so beautiful and compelling about the holy Seventh day in Genesis.
He said God was tryint to tell us.....how HE felt about his creation. And that’s so wonderful. What a God. Every day he created he declared it GOOD. And when he was done with his creation...he declared the Seventh day to be a blessed day because his creation was complete.
Dr. Bacchiochi reminds us God blessed the Animals in Genesis 1:22, he blessed man in Genesis 1:28, and he blessed the seventh day in Genesis 2:2.
And that is why Jesus takes us back to the creation seventh day when he was accused of breaking the Sabbath in Mark 2:27...Jesus answers....man was not made for the Sabbath...the Sabbath was made for man.
it’s for us! Everything God makes is for us. One could argue the entire created universe is for the human race,....even Angels! because the Bible calls Angels “Ministering spirits”.and they minister to us.
What A God, what a creator, what a Savior.....and he is coming back soon to judge the world and his law is the basis for his judgement. We don’t want to tamper with holy things....that’s a very dangerous thing to do. Amen.
The 7 day week is still in tact as it has been for thousands of years. We know which day the Sabbath is. There's a difference between and excuse and a reason to not observe the Sabbath. This is an excuse and a weak one.
If you had even a scintilla of knowledge about the Bible and theology you would have known that the first day of God’s creation was a Monday, a work day, which would make Sunday the seventh day.
Making Saturday the Sabbath would have meant that God’s work week started on Sunday., which would have been a violation of the command that Sunday be a day of rest.
How can people be ignorant.
Thankfully, the Jews and Catholics understood the Scriptures when they set up the Sabbath as Sunday, the seventh day of the work week, although Jews later changed it to Friday so they could keep the stores open on weekends.

But if it is.......you are genius. Because indeed, the Bible opens with God working on the first day of the week! And the catechism wants to make that a legal holiday.

exactly, but like I say, by changing the calendar it will just make things they more confusing. Especially the way kids are now. They get their info from the internet and if the internet deletes something then they don’t know

The language of time in His Creation and His Word is different than the language of time in the world, even the religious world.
An example.
Today is absolutely positively Tuesday (False God Tiw) April 29.
No debate.
That’s it.
That’s the language of time for the world.
But, today is absolutely positively NOT Tiws day April 29 to the Creator who made heaven the earth the seas and fountains of water.
Same ‘day’ yet two different languages of time being spoken.
The world isn’t ready,willing, or able to start learning a new language.
This language of time isn’t a new concept.
The 17th Day of the 2nd month in Noah’s day can still be spoken.
It’s just foreign to the world.
But one doesn’t forget the language they were taught as children.

When I reply to threads advocating an obligation by Christians to physically rest on the Sabbath, I usually make a long list of reasons why this is unbiblical. I’m going to deviate from that on this post to say what I agree with about this current thread.
I agree that Daniel’s prophecy concerning changing times and seasons does involve the Sabbath. The first “abomination of desolation” described in this passage was fulfilled by Antiochus Epiphanes long before Christ’s earthly ministry. He persecuted the Jews and disrupted their holy days and Sabbath observance.
I agree that Jesus described the future Antichrist in the Olivet Discourse, who would cause another “abomination of desolation”. Jesus mentioned that His disciples should flee when this occurs and pray that this flight will not happen in the winter or on the Sabbath. This applies primarily to Jewish believers living in or near Jerusalem when it happens, but Gentile believers could also be included in this as well. The Antichrist will be lawless and will attack those who follow the law of Moses, including the practice of physically resting on the Sabbath.
[For those who may not know, I believe the command to physically rest on the Sabbath was only ever given to the Jews/Israelites, as well as any other inhabitants or guests in their land.]
I believe that Antichrist is of the same spirit as Judas. Both are called the “son of perdition”. Both act as the embodiment of Satan. Both falsely identify with Jesus. Both are lawless. Both are traitors. Jesus even said that during this time period would be persecution of those who identify as His followers, many of these will fall away, and they will betray one another.
This has happened historically when “Christian” groups persecuted other “Christian” groups. This has been done against “Christian” groups that observe the Sabbath, under the premise that the Church can and should punish heretics.
I believe there are health benefits when we get proper rest, including daily and weekly, as God commanded the Jews. I believe there are community and social benefits when times of rest are celebrated corporately, as a community. I believe that devoting time to take a break from work and focus on the Lord is not only beneficial spiritually, but it is vital and essential. I believe the Sabbath represents a very important truth of resting in Christ.
I believe that Christ is Lord of the Sabbath and Lord over all creation. I believe that His followers have liberty because they are led by the Spirit. I believe Spirit-led believers will enjoy the liberty of taking time to seek the Lord without the distraction of work.
You’ll never get an answer. I asked a few times and just got a word salad, gobbledygook non-answer.
Noting on how checks and bills are paid, appointments are made and kept, plans are made with the rest of the human race, travel is scheduled, etc.

Antiochus is indeed believed by some to be the fulfillent of the little horn of Daniel 7. However, the time prophecy that goes with Daniel make it impossible for him. Not mention The angel tells Daniel to seal up the book till the end. The prophecy concerns the end of time.
We see the recurring dates and days of 1260 days or Year in prophecy in both Daniel and Revelation. 42 months that’s 1260 years using day for year prophecy which Bible scholars have used for centuries in identifying the papacy as the Antichrist.
None of this is original with Adventists. 1260 years, 42 months, and time, times and half a time. A time is a week in propecy, times is 2 weeks, half a time ..half a week 7 plus 14 plus 3.5 and there it is again.....3.5 weeks. 1260 divided by 360 is 3.5.
Jesus ministry was 3.5 years. The Anti Christ, the papacy rules for 3.5 prophetic weeks, 42 months, 1260 days....all, convert to 1260 days, or 1260 years using day for year.
It’s all there and obvious. Antiochus is a petty greek ruler. Daniel is about nations , kingdoms, the metal man is babylon, Medo Persia, Greece,and Pagan rome. Out of pagan Rome comes the little horn, a “different” power than the first 4 because it’s a spiritual power.
And it is the rock that crushes it. Daniel 2, we see a Rock that finally crushes that power.....it is NOT OF HUMAN HANDS that crushes Anti Christ. It is the rock and Jesus is the rock, he will crush Anti Christ, the papacy and all who follow and conform to her false worship that charms the world. She is blashphemous claiming to Be God on earth and accepting people who bow and confess sins to her.
The city on seven hills, adorned in gold and purple/scarlet her golden cup filled with abominations of her fornication, she is whore, unfaithful. She oppressed the saints for 1260 years, suffering a fatal wound......sure enough. Rome finally fully becomes Papal Rome in 538 and for 1260 years she rules with an iron fist, with the states to enforce her will. But in 1798, the French Revolution and she is jailed. The Pope taken captive by Napolean’s General Berthier and the pope dies in jail.
The fatal wound. .........but, her wound heals. She is the counterfeit. Jesus suffered a fatal wound and arose on the third day. So she suffers a fatal wound but her wound heals. Slowly but surely she gains momentum. For over 100 years Catholicism is all but dead in America.
But it revives. She is resurrected. She gains influence, everywhere. And now today.....amazing. The world marvels after her. She is growing in power and influence. We will soon see the Catholic States of America. Churches reach out to her, Politicians, nations, even other religions and celebrities all flock to Rome to bow to her.
She hates the Sabbath for it exposes and rebukes her authority.
And people want to say Antiochus, some petty Greek ruler who is dead and gone and forgotten is the Antichrist?
Paul said this “man of sin” sits in the very temple of God and the end of the world will not happen until this man of sin is revealed. Another reason we know the end it near.
A time of trouble such as never was. earthquakes leveling whole cities, floods, famine, death, poison in the air, pestilences, wars and rumors of wars, economic ruin, men’s hearts failing for fear.......
And out of fear.....people who have not made the Bible their daily bread and study, leaving their souls to priests, prelates, churches and pastors......fall for this deception.
and the holy law of God with the Sabbath in the middle will be the most controverted issue of the day. A universal Sunday law that requires the entire world to worship will be passed......and finally, Sabbath worship outlawed for it is better a small group of people should perish than the whole earth perish.
Never trust the masses. Never trust mobs. Never trust the majority when it comes to spiritual matters. Trust only the Bible and if they speak not according to the law and to the testimony, there is no light in them.
Soon.....the world will have to make a choice. God or the counterfeit.....the great religious counterfeit clearly and obviously identified in holy scripture....or God’s law.
And don’t tamper with God’s holy things. It’s a very dangerous thing to do. And the seventh day Sabbath.is God’s holy day. A holy thing.
