Let me clear something up right now before we go any farther. I'm not saved by a church. The Bible makes it very very clear that I'm saved by the Lord Jesus Christ. So I want every person watching on TV to know that this Adventist believes we are saved through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. So, salvation is not found in a church, salvation is found in a person, the Lord Jesus Christ.
I also want to say I am very conscious of the good people in other churches. .........God has got his children in every church. I'm amazed by what God has done and how he has his people around the world.....I think today of the great Methodist church. If I had lived in the days of John Wesley, I want to tell you folks something, I would have been a Methodist.
No man has moved me more than the great John Wesley. Only a little Englishman, he was only about 5 ft 2, he was a scholar from Oxford University, he was a church of England minister, but when the spirit of God came upon that man, he'd be up at 4 oclock in the morning preaching to the miners.....

Thank you very much and God bless you.
We get it already. Quit proselytizing.

It’s a caucus my friend. Thank you.
Well, I could have sworn I labeled it an Adventist Caucus. Maybe it got taken away. I don’t know. Anyways, I click by threads I’m not interested. You can do that too I think. Try it. It’s easy. really easy. You just read the title and then move your eyes down.
I can show you how if you want. I do it all the time.
SDA may or may not be a cult, but in the end the teachings are much like Mormonism and JW’s in that they are not wholly biblical and are works salvation based. Their “prophet”, Ellen White, claimed all sorts of things, similar to how Mormonism’s Joseph Smith did, and the SDA church believes that this woman’s writings are on equal ground with the Bible itself. There are no doubt redeemed believers within the SDA Church, but they are being fed false beliefs along with scriptural truths. They have also always been fixated on the timing of Christ’s return. Here is a link comparing traditional Biblical Christianity with 7th Day doctrines...

There is no caucus designation. This wingnut thread is open to all.
That was a seriously underrated movie.
I thought I had caucus but maybe I forgot. Doesn’t matter I don’t care who comments. I don’t mind.
What I don’t understand is people who go out there way to complain about a thread. Why stress. Just skip it. It’s really easy. Here you seem obsessed with Adventists....causing you so much stress too. I think I know why but still...bizarre.
Thanks!
Yeah, that pesky Sabbath commandment. Just one big false commandment.
“the Article states “I’m not saved by a church.”
However, man-made churches do not offer the Mass and all the Sacraments that Jesus established with sanctifying graces for our salvation.
At Mass, the Church that Jesus founded offers the Sacrament of the Eucharist that is the Real Presence of Christ “Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity” John 6: 52-57 “he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life.” Luke 22: 14-20 “Do this in remembrance of me.”
The sacrament of Confession/Reconciliation. John 20: 21-22 “If you forgive the sins of any , they are forgiven: if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”
The Sacraments of Baptism (if valid). Christ commanded His disciples; “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you.” There can be questions on whether one is baptized based on the words of Jesus and they were taught the God’s Truth and not man’s opinions.
Many religions do not offer the Sacraments of Confirmation, Marriage, Holy Orders and Anointing of Sick.
All seven sacraments provide God’s free gift of sanctifying grace that is necessary for our salvation.
The Council of Trent solemnly defined the Church’s teaching on the seven sacraments and constitutive to the sacraments’ efficacy is the reality and transmission of sanctifying grace (see CCC 2000), beginning in baptism and particularly also in the Eucharist and confession (see, e.g., CCC 1262-74).
This cult sure seems to bother you a lot. I wonder why.. it’s just a cult.
But your catechism says to keep Sunday as a day of rest. So are catholics Jesus plus Sunday?
Bizarre logic you have...
It’s not bizarre; it’s a Commandment.
The Bible alone as the source for doctrine for which all other must be tested
......
Says a cult that missed the bible warnings about Beasts and Antichrists, and actually embraces Beasts and Antichrists for their doctrines of demons.
Right. So we both agree it’s a commandment.
We just differ on a day?
The one thing that is wrong with EVERY “organized religion” is that it is “organized”.
The Father, Son and Holy Ghost/Spirit and your bible are all anyone needs.
“Organized religion” = Give me your money. Give me your time. Give me your children. Follow “OUR” (denomination’s) rules!
Churches are for hypocrites. Why? They MUST be, because they are FULL of them!
